Let's Do Greek

Fresh, generous and authentic Greek food. A real gem and I can't wait to go back.
Service was fantastic, friendly and fast. It was a busy Wednesday night at the restaurant which is a fantastic review of its own.

Food was worth the wait. Best seafood platter I've had in a long time and price was soo cheap. Would give five stars but service was slow, long wait for food. Deffinately a fav place to eat.

Excellent service and food could not fault, we always dine here when in town and never disappoints us and highly recommend this restaurant. Well done thank you for another great night

Went here Wednesday night with my family for dinner food was brilliant and service by Ailey the waitress was second to none. Will definitely be returning.

Lets Do Greek is conveniently located at the base of Aligned Corporate Residences, and unlike a lot of establishments, did not have loud music blaring out at the time of visit. +1 point.

LDG is almost exclusively furnished in teal blue, to impart the Mediterranean feel, whilst a little bold, it is not offensively so.
Having some white chairs would break it up a little, and could be representative of small boats on the Aegean Sea.
The furniture is standard, and was comfortable enough.

Service:
Service at LDG was excellent. The young lady who served was both engaging and knowledgeable, which led to me ordering more food than if just the menu had been left with me.
Furthermore, she offered everyone the same courtesy, even when a birthday party of 10 guests showed up.
Likewise, the young lady behind the bar was also pleasant and very free with her smiles, whilst redundant to say, was really nice to receive when you've had a long day out in the sun, and feeling like a lobster.

Food:
For entree, the Dip for One along with beetroot salad, and I will be the first to admit that I may have overestimated my appetite.
The salad and hummus were both excellent and filling, and the pita bread would also have been delicious, but they were heavily encrusted with salt.
Now I enjoy salty food, but this was a bit too salty for my liking, even with the garnishment of beetroot salad.
It wasn't terrible, just a little much, so just be aware.

The main course was Seafood Platter for One, and this was thoroughly enjoyable.
It is expected that seafood will be salty, and it may be that the pitas from the entrees had oversalted my tongue, but a squeeze of lemon helped balance it out.
I dared not brave a dessert, but the selection was quite tempting.

LDG has astutely realised that a significant number of their diners are business people staying at the ACR, hence the amount of 'for one' dishes, but having said that, it (happily) seems to be popular with the locals too, as several young and old couples wandered in, as well as the aforementioned birthday party.

The owner also works the floor, engaging and schmoozing with the customers and seemed charming enough.
It's a small touch that some modern restaurants do not have, beyond a polite enquiry about the food, and so the owners interaction is a pleasant stand out from the crowd.

I would happily recommend LDG to anyone.

Wow, this place made us feel like we were in Greece for dinner, the food was was fresh and uniquely tasty, cooked to perfection and full of personality. The service was even better than the food, they all were on fire, the front man was organising the restaurant with perfection, the girls at the bar were making drinks as fast as they could. It was so nice to receive good old fashioned customer service, very rare these days. Thank you very much, your establishment is full of heart.

The noise level of this eatery was horrendous. Was given a meal alternative due to a broken oven, without consultation first. Overall experience was average.

Went for our anniversary dinner recently and enjoyed ourselves. We had some cocktails, which were not bad but could do with some improvement Service was pretty good, but did feel a little forgotten at times. But overall a lovely restaurant to visit with yummy greek food Thank you

Food 10/10 - Service 10/10. Every dish was fantastic. Grilled octopus was the favourite. Loved the Greek bread tapes.delicious

Service was good (the waitresses were good) food was good but had to wait 90 minutes for our meal, a bit pricey

Great food and wine.
We had a grill platter, grill octopus and greek red wine that quite delicious.
Recommend the place for dinner but come early as it can get very busy.

Busy restaurant, loud but nice atmosphere. The food is great, large portions as it’s Greek. I had Moussaka and was pleasantly surprised to be able to get Galaktoboureko. I could also take leftovers and got the Galaktoboureko to go. Thanks

Excellent experience. Have been in Mackay for some time but never got here until now, definitely will be coming back. Food was exceptional, had the seafood platter special. Great selection of beers and wines and good atmosphere although a little loud.

All food looked amazing we decided on seafood platter for one and Spartan mixed grill.all really nice but seafood was my favourite. We couldn't eat another bite so we ordered all 3 desserts to go. The staff are very friendly will definitely be back.

Unbelievable food, definitely the best food I've eaten in Mackay. The service was great and the whole experience was just awesome.

Amazing food, excellent service, and leaving with our stomachs bursting! Will be back here for sure every time we’re in town!
