Legacy Martial Arts

Very friendly and extremely inclusive environment. I would thoroughly recommend Legacy to anyone thinking about talking up martial arts.

We signed up our then 10 year old about 16 months ago based on word of mouth from others. So my review will be based around the experiences of my 11yo in the school

In that time we have seen the amazing attention paid to not only the martial arts aspect but also the character development.

The instructors are all very proficient at instructing martial arts but they are equally adept at teaching and mentoring people, especially the younger ones. This is demonstrated by role modelling and rewarding expected standards and behaviours.

If anyone is on the fence about enrolling their kids I can definitely recommend Legacy martial arts!

Our kids attend, and they really enjoy it. The classes are well structured, planned. Very friendly instructors and students. At the grading you have to earn your belt, not just pay for it and kids automatically get it, which I found a great incentive to get kids to work harder. Great place for all.

We joined ATA as a family a few years ago and have been welcomed and included in this fantastic community that is present in this school. We have made great friendships, have incredible support from fellow students and never felt discriminated against regardless of our health, age, background. Everyone is taught with the same respect, from little tigers to the elder parents. The instructors are professional and trained to a high level.
My kids and I have learned very important skills here such as self defence as well as korean taekwondo. It's great for fitness at all levels!
The classes are fun, have great instruction and we have always been supported by everyone. Highly recommend.

To be part of the ATA family has changed my daughter into a confident beautiful young lady. She has been doing taekwondo for more than two years now and absolutely loves every minute. She asks to go every day as taekwondo makes her feel part of something bigger, makes her feel loved, teaches her amazing values and teaches her how to defend herself. My other two daughters started at the beginning of the year and they just adore taekwondo. They love the routines, and feel overwhelmed by the love and professional of the instructors. Amazing place! My daughter had struggled through extra curricular activities to find her niche. We tried dance, soccer, boxing, gymnastics etc. We even tried a taekwondo club. What I could see was lacking, was a feeling of being accepted and a confidence, passion and drive to continue with anything further than a trial class or a term of learning. Then WOW, just WOW! The first day I took my daughter to ATA, I told her a white lie and told her we were headed to a “fitness” club, where she could be herself, be fit, be strong and be praised for her efforts. She walked in, defeated that this was taekwondo all over again and her heart sank. We left that day with a new girl. She was welcomed with such enthusiasm from people she had never met before. The instructors and helpers blew us away with their kindness and helping hands. She couldn’t wait to go there again. And again. And again. Our shy girl was embraced and she has now found her voice and passion. We are in awe of what this place has given our girl. We are in awe of what she has accomplished. We are in awe and so thrilled we found ATA full stop. ATA offer a community and family based experience second to none. 10 stars without a doubt.

This is a great martial arts school for both Adults and children. I find everyone very welcoming and the instructors really go above and beyond to ensure students achieve their goals and progress through the sport.
This is a great place to make new friends and learn a valuable skill.

As a student here, I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the people and instructors are always amazing. Classes are always structured greatly and are never boring. Ryan always makes classes detailed and Lakieya is great at bringing the atmosphere together to keep the classes buzzing. ATA is great for teaching discipline and teaches different aspects with regards to life skills and applications to martial arts. Taekwondo is a great form of Art and this studio embodies it.

If you're looking for a great buzzing atmosphere and attentive classes, that teach great martial arts, this is definitely the place. As a student, i've always felt welcomed and enjoyed the wide range of classes on offer.

We went for our son. On seeing the classes and how fantastic the instructors are the wife and I joined up. 7 star rating.

Let me give you a bit of background on my family, I have two Sons Jared 20 and Liam 16 who is intellectual Impaired. Liam is the one who has the interest in Martial Arts by watching action films to you tube videos and it came to the point of begging to join a martial arts studio. My husband Josh was the one who found the studio.by a flyer that was in the mail and so close to home.

Josh and Liam went to the studio and were met by the most amazing owner Suzi Sanfort, Josh explained the circumstances with Liam's condition and Suzi opened her arms and said he is welcome to a lesson a go, well that was Liam's happiness he got on the mats and showed what he could do and the feedback from the studio was amazing and positive.

I raise my hat to these two ladies Suzi and Lakeiya as it did not take them long to convince me to give it a go and as my dad used to say "it's.the bees knees" Suzi and Lakeiya are the best woman team I have ever met greeting you with a hug and smile on entry and a hug on the way out.

ATA Family make you feel whole and a sense of purpose of enjoying exercise and as well making friendships with other members.

Lakeiya is marvellous with the tigers, coming down to their level and not speaking over them. She is always smiling and enjoying her teachings and passing them onto others.

With the current situation with Covid-19 and the lockdown we are currently in, these ladies never let it deter them it only made them stronger and found a way to deliver our training virtually, for most of us are getting on with business and doing our best.

To me this speaks louder than words can say these women are absolutely amazing in keeping their business alive and seeing the future with new experiences for us all.

This is an Amazing place! Love the support you always get and the encouragement. Friendly, building conference, and many more skills life skills and Teakwondo skills. I train with my kids here and it's our 10th Year here, it's a life experience and continue to learn more.

Excellent martial arts school.kids learn confidence, respect, setting goals and self defence. And have lots of FUN at the same time. My daughter started when she was 5years old and still going strong.she is 2nd degree black belt now.family atmosphere and suitable for all ages.very recommended!
