Lawnton Aquatic Centre reviews
46This is such a nice Aquatic Centre. Great place for you to learn how to swim and also just to swim. Great indoor and outdoor pools. Beautiful water park for kids too. You can have a bbw and relax all day there too. Staff area cherry on top. They are all extremely friendly and professional on the same time.
Love the Hydrotherapy sessions in the heated pool. The water was really lovely and nice to go there. Its great to be back there again. Since they had a lot of swimming carnivals during there from Jan 23 - June 23. And hopefully gets to use the 25m indoor heated pool for the rest of the year for my Hydro sessions 2 a week.
Real good swimming pool, staff very helpful and friendly. Change rooms very good and fir disabled.
Michelle is a fantastic swimming teacher and is great at getting my son’s attention and keeping him engaged. The hot chips at the canteen are also one of his highlights on Saturdays.
BEWARE! These guys take your credit card details and keep charging you months after you have taken your kid out of swimming without any notification of reciepts. Talk about stealing in broad daylight. Had a rude swimming teacher who kept taunting us about how we didn't bring our 2 yr old earlier and that he is extremely non-compliant at his first lesson! We explained he had several surgeries and was not in a position to swim until now. She continued to be rude and we took him out but despite being told we would get a refund, we were being charged until months later. We are now taking this company to ACCC for amounts debited without consent. Do not trust these guys with direct debit. Not all teachers may be rude but the organisation thinks they are entitled towards your money whether you take your kid there or not.
The rules of the venue change every day. Some staff are polite and helpful where as others are just rude.
I’ve spent around $50 at the venue and have always been kind and appreciative of the amenities. But with the constant changing rules, I’m left regretting paying anything towards the venue.
I recommend going elsewhere
They litrally didnt sell me a lolypop for no reason they were gonna sell it to me and this person was like nah we aint selling to him and she said its 6 we stop selling and than they sold to someone right after me. (NPC I SWEAR)
An amazing open air swimming pool where you can get a workout and a suntan at the same time. The 50 meter heated outdoor pool is a delight in winter and one of the hidden pleasures of living in Queensland.
Go early as pools tend to get dirty over the day. The undercover heated pool was full of hair but it was being used to the filters capacity so was not all their fault.
Toddlers pool is in serious need of repair/replacement. It would have been a great little space. 20 odd years ago. It's damaged, VERY worn and was quite grotty.
There's also no path between the main pool and the seperate fenced kids pool/playground, just a large expanse of unmowwed bumpy uneven grass and hundreds of large ant nest mounds to navigate, which is hard with a pram and little kids.
The main pool is fine, bog standard old school suburban pool.
Love the Hydrotherapy sessions in the heated pool. The water was really lovely and nice to go there.
It's not worth owning a swimming pool when this is literally walking distance from your house great staff and great facilities pricing is excellent.
Kids does their swimming lessons here and since joining Lawnton Aquatic Centre their confidence in the water has improved and their skills are now next level.
Great friendly instructors!
Friendly staff. My kids always feel welcome and comfortable at the centre.
The fees are not over the roof. They even help to keep track of your child’s progress.
I do t know how to swim at the moment, but would be considering enrolling for classes at this centre so I can enjoy the same things my boys are enjoying.
Private groops take over the palce, public not welcome, staff do not care, treated like you are not welcome, I was thinking it was a Public pool?
Friendly staff and reasonably clean, well priced. Needs quite a bit of maintenance. Changing facilities need repainting and the smaller pool has damaged stairs and tiling in multiple places. Our kids enjoy the pool and the play area.
Amazing facility with a great grandstand which makes it perfect for spectators in all sorts of weather. Lane pool is 50m in length and is kept very clean.
Very friendly staff who are very helpful. My kids swimming lessons are of good quality. Support a local business and give back to the community
The facilities are excellent and the team running the centre are lively and welcoming. Being able to undertake hydrotherapy in their heated pool is something I am extremely grateful for. Thankyou to the team.
I use the lap lanes most days & while there is the odd occasion someone strays or obstructs it is not often. Most people here are respectful of each other and share the lanes well. I'm not the fastest swimmer and am working to improve my fitness & it's welcome here and I never feel judged when simming. Overall it is very clean, the staff polite, the facility excellent & good value for money. Thanks!
