Lang Park PCYC Judo Club reviews
23My experience was horrific and a nightmare, I have had nothing but problems with them. I had to report both the Head Coach and the second in charge Instructor to Police for harassing me and behaving in a intimidating threatening manner, all for raising a potential dangerous throwing incident to Judo QLD. I also had to complain about second in charge Instructor for throwing me in such a reckless, dangerous manner that I felt like my neck was going to break so to speak, it was terrifying. I have notified UQ where he works. They shouldn't be coaches, especially coaching children, Bluecards have acknowledged my concerns.
Fantastic training environment, friendly family atmosphere with knowledgeable coaches for all levels. Kids absolutely love judo @ Lang park PCYC.
Rob and the coaches at Lang Park Judo are an amazing group of people. Their inclusive approach to training across all age levels provides a great atmosphere for all levels of Judo. My son trained at the club from Juniors through to seniors and loved every minute of it. If you are new to the sport they provide a fun and engaging way to start your Judo journey regardless of whether you are young or old. Over the years of being involved with the club and travelling to other clubs around Queensland for competitions Lang Park stands out as one of the best.
I've been training at this club for about a year and I totally recommend it. Both, the coaches and the advanced students are really caring and are constantly giving you excellent technical advice. There is always someone that comes to assist you to get the right technique. The training sessions are hard enough to get you fit but very fun at the same. The facilities are perfect too with a really large mat. In summary, great place to learn judo.
Rob, Myles and the team are awesome. They're great leaders, coaches and just generally nice people who've always made my whole family feel welcome. Would recommend any start or strengthen their judo skills here.
I have nothing but good things to say about Lang Park judo club, fantastic place and great people.
When I saw the phrase “your judo home away from home” at Lang Park Judo website, I realised it is true when they say a judoka, wherever goes around the world, always will find a good and friendly environment.
As a migrant, arriving in Australia 10 years ago, I found Lang Park Judo Club a place that contributed considerably to my integration into this society and new culture.
I have found it to be a Safe, Respectful and Pleasant place for all ages, students and parents.
An amazing academy with high level instruction from Rob and all the other black belts. Full of good laughs during class and professional instruction from experienced instructors. Highly recommend for both men and women of all levels and wouldn't go anywhere else - also a world class facility too!
If you are looking for a judo club in Brisbane for you or your kids, look no further. Supportive coaches led by Sensei Rob, solid team spirit, good coaching strategies to cater for all levels and skills and a fun vibe. The tatami is top notch as well. My young kids have been attending for the past 18 months and are very happy and well looked after. I tentatively joined the mat after a long hiatus from judo and was welcomed and eased back in with support. I have been to a lot of clubs over the years and this dojo suits anyone who is looking to learn judo for fun, fitness or competition. A a huge tick for being inclusive.
Excellent Club with a great Team Environment.
Highly Recommend Rob and all Coaches.
Everyone always welcomed and treated as equals.
Lang Park is an awesome Judo club with a welcoming atmosphere, lots of mat space and top quality teachers.
Was lucky enough to train with Rob and the guys when in Brisbane for a work trip. Great club every enjoyable was made to feel welcome and part of the club.
Wonderful group of people majority of which are volunteers that do the most to be inclusive. Would recommend
Great Judo Club in QLD, spacious, good quality mats, awesome and experienced coaches, good community, classes are catered for juniors and seniors for all levels.
Great club and great coach! Highly recommended! I joined the club in late 2019 and I have improved immensely since then, thank you Sensei Rob!
Great club great atmosphere and great coach.
At 77 years of age I still get on the mat (tatami), that is what judo does for oneself. I miss the club, as I am no longer in Brisbane.
Thanks to all that have trained with me and been gentle as I grew older lol.
As always when next I am in Brisbane the mat will be mine
