Lamiay Kaayo Filipino Cuisine reviews
58We waited 1 week to eat here, my wife and I were excited. When we arrived, the woman in front made us feel like we were not welcome in your restaurant. I was very patient with him, I even talked to him and smiled but he really didn't care. Even when we asked for a takeaway box, he seemed like a bad trip to give us a box haha The food is good but your front is ruining the mood. Please remind that he is in the hospitality industry. When I paid, I thanked him, your sister girl didn't even look or speak hahaha, we spent $120, just me and my husband, an arrogant front ruined the enjoyment of eating at filo resto. We'd rather be in Kubo than that
Not consistent with their food. First time I tried it I loved the Kare-kare. 2nd time I went there it's like they just reheated it from yesterday and not made fresh. Hard to chew as well as ox tail meat is tough. Service is good though.
First time I ordered on the left photo. 2nd time on the right.
I’m Filipino so I know what good Filipino food tastes like. The worst filipino food I’ve ever had. Cheap carinderia back in manila is even better than this
Philipino food is very nice, my friends say we must put this one on the list, and great atmosphere and service
Sensational food. Each dish was executed perfectly and the servings were huge. The perfect stop to try Filipino food. The wait staff are super attentive. I hope this restaurant never closes
My first time trying Filipino food and really liked it. Gentle, delicious and easy to digest. Served by Lovely people.
Honest take
Food is decent. Service is fair
Restaurant is not that clean. Sticky tables, I had to use my own wet wipes to wipe the table.
Ordered pork bbq skewers 6 pc but small, taste is okay.
Pork liempo is too sweet.
Rice wasn’t cooked really still felt the hard grains
Sinigang na bangus is not hot and not fresh. The fish is like frozen and cooked.
Tbh we were dissapointed in eating here.
Pricey but not good
3 viands and 2 cup of rice cost us $88
I don’t mind paying but please improve your food.
Its not a restaurant food but a “canteen” food.
There is a stage on right side of the restaurant and Anyone can enjoy the karaoke
Also employees are nice and if you’re coming with friends even about 10 people or more, you can take a seat together
Furthermore, there are enough choices of dishes and prices are between 15$~80$
The dishes are amazing

We craved filo breakfast, so we left very satisfied! Heard this place hits the spot when ordering main dishes like lechon kawali, pinakbet, adobo etc
You can enjoy karaoke on their stage and be surrounded by happy people. You are sure to have a great time at the restaurant!
Seeing the good review of this restaurant, we decided to give it a go and it didn’t disappoint! The staff was very friendly & accommodating. We arrived slightly earlier than their opening time and they were ok to accommodate us. They were also very helpful in helping us to choose the menu. As there were 12 of us, we were able to order variety of things and they are all so yum and there were no left overs at all. Both kids & adults love it.
I love it! While interior does remind me of home. Food is amazing. But then again, I am a simple girl, not a food critic. Food is also pretty cheap too.
Visited last weekend and the crispy pata and pinakbet didn’t disappoint. Best filo restaurant in Surfers Paradise. Will definitely be coming back!
Overall the best. Ate is very nice and welcoming. We ordered so much food and their serving is big enough. Delicious and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Surfers Paradise.
We are on Holidays from Adelaide and we are craving so many authentic Filipino dishes. My family really enjoyed all the food, especially the dinuguan! I highly recommend you visiting them and have a taste of "back home" dishes! I sooo love the pinakbet too! Happy eating!
If you hunt for the delicious foods, must order it! The most popular and my favourite food is the sizzling pork sisig + best match with steam rice or high recommended with garlic fried rice. The second must eat in summer is sweet and sour fish, taste great and savoury. Third one that would be healthy green stir fried mix vege with shrimp paste, nothing much can describe it and that’s the reason you should try.
Low cost+great value foods+yummy delicious of Philippine cuisine +bakery= overall cost roughly in between $85-90 for three peoples——worth
Well… need entertainment after meals, karaoke stage are ready for you, nice environment and relaxing the staff is friendly and surely they re all the best, happy cuisine surround with happy people and you will not regret for your visiting.
Great to have down time in this resto
They have live singing
Good food, good vibes
Prompt service
If you’re craving for Filipino cuisen and missing back home. This is your place to eat! From friendly staff, every meal was delicious and flavoursome, karaoke night - best duo on the night and super friendly, and you can request any songs.
Our family enjoyed everything when the food came. We couldn't finish it all and got offered to take the food home.
This place had plenty of seating, pram friendly and I love their customer service. Every staff we encountered was friendly and funny too. Worth visiting for a Filipino meal!
Thank you for having us and accomodate 18 of us on the night 22/01/2023
Extremely expensive. Nearly $90 for 2 people dining in. We go to a Thai restaurant and more food half the price. I see why alot of Filipino food places dont get business. Other Asian restaurants are much better value.
Saw the amazing reviews and they did not disappoint! If you’re looking for authentic Indonesian food, this is the place to go.we got the crispy pata which was a solid portion.it was fried to perfection on the outside & the crispy skin was immaculate while the inside was still so tender.had the chicken inala as well and it was well marinated.the meat was soft & tender, easy to eat and went very well with the sauce on the side.both portions were huge as.the staff were also so welcoming and super hospitable! The price was rly reasonable as well, would definitely revisit when we’re in town.
The food here was nothing short of divine, the pork adobo was super soft and flavourful and the Leche flan literally left me speechless! Best place for Filipino food in the gold coast, period.
