Kodomon Karate-Do has been our martial arts club for seven years. The reason we love the club and keep coming back for more is that it covers off on every aspect.
Chief Instructor Sensei Irvine has produced a high quality curriculum that takes student through the history and tradition of karate, the fine detail behind kata, the different types of kumite and real world self defence techniques.
Under Sensei Irvine who is the State Coaching Director, the club has had well earned success in A. K. F and Q. K. A accredited tournaments producing State and National Champions.
Most important to my son and I is that Kodomon is a friendly and family based club with no big egos.

I just started this a few weeks ago, and it's been great! I've been pleasantly surprised at how helpful everyone’s been, from the trainers to all the students. And the classes really work you out! I love it here. Highly recommend this school.

If you are interested in joining a welcoming and engaging family friendly martial arts club - then Kodomon is for you. We joined the club 5 years ago looking for fitness and self defence (as parents of a 10yo girl and 12yo boy). Kodomon is a club with a driven culture of respect and a strong emphasis on tradition yet still provides variation and fun for the kids. Sensei Glenn shows great insight and respect for the personal goals set by those training - kids and adults alike regardless of fitness or skill level. We have experienced great success at both a local, State and National level, however the leadership and life skills that have been developed as a result of the quality instruction and support provided are fantastic and life long.
I would strongly recommend Kodomon karate as an excellent school to train.

I started training at Kodomon 4 years ago with my teenage son. The Chief Instructor,
Sensei Glenn Irvine, is the National Coaching Director, and the standard of training is superb. Members of the club successfully compete at State, National, and International tournaments. There is a strong emphasis on self defence (great for women!) where Glenn uses his experience in Military Combatives to teach effective self defence techniques. There are several Nationally Accredited Coaches, and the club has a very warm and welcoming feel.

Our Family has been a part of Kodomon Karate-Do for 5 years, in this time my son has enjoyed great success as a State member and internationally, the dedication of the instructors is a credit to Sensei Glenn Irvine who is currently the QLD state coaching director. I would highly recommend this club if you are looking for a great family orientated atmosphere that still offers all aspects of traditional karate and self defence for all ages.

Great for building self confidence in children and adults.
Comprehensive traditional Karate curriculum with an effective Self Defence training program suitable for all ages in an environment that is safe and non-threatening.
Chief Instructor is the State Coaching Director with some students enjoying success at State and National Championships.
Good Student to Instructor ratio.
Highly recommend Kodomon Karate-Do.
