Kmart Cairns Central

Went to Kmart to purchase something found on line. The product was supposedly available in store. Arrived at Kmart no trolleys, the product was not available and the Airconditioning for the whole store was not working. Customers and Staff were feeling the heat no A/C heat wave conditions. I could not get out of the store quick enough the heat and humidity was making me feel sick.

I'm actually shocked at the state of this Kmart store in Cairns Central. Walking through the women's section to find underwear/bras and clothes literally piled up on the floor in front of shelves and too many items to a rack making it overcrowded and unable to search through items to read sizes without everything falling, no sizes are in correct order. I found this the same in the activewear section too. All the activewear shorts and tops that were once folded neatly are all thrown back on the shelve. The store in these two locations look like that have more items on shelves than they should. Just piles and colours mixed up. All this makes it really hard to find items and sizes. Very disappointed to see. Unfortunately yes, there are customers in this world that don't care to try and keep it neat as possible, mightn't be perfect but at least it shows you have respect.
I just want to know how often does staff recognise their stores because this one looks like it hasn't been touched in months.

I felt like it was a place like Aeon, where you could buy clothes, toys, miscellaneous goods, shoes, etc.
I bought children's toys and picture books.

The staff are helpful, especially Travis who’s very friendly and lovely. Products are also up-to-date and very affordable.

The guy at the entrance is the best. I remember him from 4 years ago and he still has the same vibe today. What a great and contagious positivity! Love it. Generally speaking, Kmart has a great variety of items and mostly of good quality for pretty cheap prices. Would definitely recommend if you look for something to furnish your house. Fashion is slightly worse, both in terms of quality and style, but very convenient if you look for work or gym clothing!

Kmart Cairns is your one stop store. The best prices in town. Initiative is needed to locate product. Travis will greet you at the door with the warmest welcome. Travis will wish you well on depart.

Travis is the most valuable employee of Kmart, Australia wide. He is hands down the most lovely, accommodating, precious soul I have ever met. He is always so happy to see you walk through the doors of his store. Thank mother nature for people like Travis.

Travis, the greeter, is always very cheerful and friendly. He’ll put a smile on your face every time:)

Getting as bad as when up stairs, goods everywhere in isle's and stock needing to be put on shelves.

Staff should monitor the photo print more. There are 3 of us waiting to print and a lady is sitting there on Facebook, charging her phone.

Bought the display item. The staff assisted and stayed with me. Accompanied me towards Check out. I had an overflowing trolley. Good looking too. Smiles great. Kmart. Smart move to hire this young guy.

The air conditioning is not really good in this place I don't think it's a good place to stay very long unless you love to sweaty Betty a lot.

The kmart located in cairns central is one of the best in fnq. Friendly service, heaps of stock and their new store has a great layout that makes shopping there more easy and accessible.

Been to one you've been to them all BUT. Cairns is hot and their A/c was also hot.sweaty fun for all. Not fun for shopping.

The A/C doesn’t seem to work in Kmart Cairns Central. It is so hot and it’s been months with no proper A/C. Not a good experience to be in here when it’s this hot.

Appreciate getting to go to Kmart. You might laugh. But when you live somewhere, where there isn't one, it really does make you Appreciate Kmart. Great Store!

Went to buy some shorts today, cannot believe not a single pair available even though it's 28 degrees in Cairns today

Overly crowded, messy and every single time without fail, at least one item on your list isn't in stock or on the shelves. You're better off heading to Smithfield Kmart. More choices, fully stocked and you don't have to maneuver your way down every aisle.

Great new kmart, I hope that their product range continues to grow and the amount of products they have in their warehouse keeps up with demand.

Way better now the shop since moving to the lower level.
Plenty of space, friendly service and generally stress-free.
Only problem I have is some products for bike parts etc are always low on stock.probably due to covid.

Thanks to the whole Kmart crew for providing a clean, cheerful and good retail experience.
