4Great selection of reefs, lots of night dives and good craic all round. The boat is rocky af in rough weather, bring sea sickness tablets.
Having done quite a lot of diving on the GBR now I can honestly say that diving with the JCU Dive Club is the best diving out there. As a photographer, the reefs they visit and dive guides that gave me the freedom to focus on what interests me made my experiences fantastic.
Being a non-profit they also seem to be the cheapest I've encountered in Townsville! 10/10 would recommend anyone to go on one of their liveaboards or do one of their courses.
I've been an active member of JCU Dive Club since 2018 and it has been such an amazing club to be a part of!
Their live-aboard trips are one of a kind at awesome prices, the people are such a superb group of weirdos and I've made so many friends for life.
I highly recommend joining these guys for a day trip, liveaboard, or one of their awesome social events!
Diving with JCU dive club is always great, either for a course or as a certified diver, you'll have a good time. I highly recommend this cool and energetic team!
