Irish Club Hotel reviews
61 Everything about this pub is very good
On our visits to Toowoomba this pub is a favourite of ours
Great fresh Guinness, fabulous food and the Irish charm
Absolutely love this place! Been going there for years and have never had a problem. Bar staff are always great, feeds are phenomenal and our glasses are never empty. Very very good atmosphere. Can't recommend enough!
Christmas Eve Eve lunch. 20-ish loose-ish cannons at a work outing. We all wait and question when is the appropriate time to leave. When is it my shout? Will anyone notice if I leave before my round? It's a lot of pressure that none of us really know how to handle, other than with more beer.
The food here - it's pub food. The steaks are overcooked. The parmis - large.
The large parmis are great, never a bad one. Chicken truly is the bread and butter of the Irish. Good enough to make the Grinch happy (pictured).
Sirloin steak on special. Sirloin. Of the steaks, it's the least desirable. However. It's christmas and both my wallet and my belt are tight and for a saving of 10 or so dollars, I will accept a second-tier cut. Not to roast my own potatoes, I like to think I am somewhat of a Wiley young fox when it comes to steaks. Always order 1 tier rarer than what you want. Ask for rare and get perfect medium-rare. Bank on the overcooking.
My big question mark - why so much salad? With everything? It's a salad with a side of steak. Decidedly not the natural order of things. My mission, my purpose in life is to invert this ratio. So far, this mission, not going so well, but we keep on keeping on - such is the spirit of Christmas.
Nice atmosphere, nice people, plenty of things to do, good music, and to top it off, if you like playing no limit Texas Hold-em tournament with the WPT group, then it'll be a good time indeed.
I really like the atmosphere, like the booth's that are different sizes and different rooms. Looking forward to coming back for live music and to check the menu out!
Staff very friendly and the beer and food was great. They also allowed us to bring our 2 goldies into the beer garden since we had just arrived in town
Loved this place. This was how pubs used to be. Imaginative menu. Live music. Great atmosphere.
The usual hangout and official meeting spot for Apex Club of Toowoomba.
Being a member of Apex Club Philippines, I came here at their invite. Got treated like a regular. Enjoyed the friendly and homey atmosphere of the pub and also enjoyed the fine selection of their beers and the good food!
Cheap affordable meals with 5 dollar basics on sunday.warm and friendly staff. And the guiness always garunteed to be there although Now at 11.50 a pint.
If you're looking for a solid dinner, this is your place. Want a spot to drink with your mates? This is your place. With the great staff, and great service, this place doesn't disappoint. Been plenty of times before, will go plenty more.
Very good service. Had dinner with my wife and daughter. Great live music. We enjoyed the night. Cool!
Very unassuming pub. Once inside you are met with old Irish charm. The food was delicious and the music had everyone singing.
First time I had been here in 12years. Use to have a great vibe and comedy nights here. The bar felt very bland and not Irish at all.
Absolutely good feed, get your value. A lot of things on the menu should be order only if hungry - not just the supersized crumbed steak. Beef and Guinness pie was great
A great place to grab a meal, reasonably priced. And pokies if you're so inclined. A great place for a few drinks after work
I've been here before but this was the first time for a meal. As always you'll be greeted with a fantastic atmosphere. It's a great place to go and get some nice winter comfort food. The portions are more than generous and everything we ordered looked appealing and was tasty.
The Irish Club is a relaxed, casual place for a hearty home-style lunch.
A traditional Irish pub with a spacious bistro area, it’s great for catching up with friends - and the menu has something for all. I chose the ‘small’ serve of rissoles with mashed potatoes, pumpkin & steamed vege. Others in my group had chicken pie, bangers and mash, crumbed fish and a toasted chicken and Camembert sandwich that all looked scrumptious. My meal was huge, delicious and there were lashings of gravy over that delicious rissole - a sumptuous meal indeed. There were certainly no complaints from anyone at our large table of ten.
It’s a bistro so while you do have to line up to order at the counter, the service was great. The wait staff were very pleasant taking the order, and then attentive during the meal as you’d hope for at a good Irish establishment.
I had no trouble securing street parking right outside too- 2 hours free parking so there was no need to rush the lunch. This was my first visit to The Irish Club Hotel in Toowoomba but I’ll be heading back with family to enjoy another meal soon.
A terrific find!
Wow what a meal. The Chicken Parmigiana was delicious along with the salad and rice salad was delicious.
Need bigger Vegan, Gluten free menu. I wasn't impressed with the food they had. The Gluten free chips are boring and Tasteless the Irish pizza is pretty much the same.
It was a nice place to chat and drink, until the band started. I love a live music but that place isn't set up for it. You don't put the band right next to your only bar.
Great meals at the Irish Club. Got a bit of everything for every sort of taste. Manager was really helpful with my Mum's dietary needs as well. Had a great lunch for my birthday.
Keep up the good work guys.
