Ipswich Hospital reviews
98Rude service. Female worker sent father out when she should have checked things on him that later sent him to the emergency room again making him completely ill. This would be avoided if she could’ve done her job right and checked these things off making sure he was ok and stable before sending him home. Should be fired as can’t do her job right. Would not recommend sending loved ones to this hospital
There is a woman seezing in the waiting room everyone wants to help her the nurse is telling everyone she’ll be fine she’s seezing for over an hour the doctors and nurses did nothing it broke me to see her suffering and cause I can’t do anything.
Thank you Erin for being so happy and helpful.
Your assistance in the red waiting area really helped my daughter and I.
I know the wait times can be crazy long but when I did go through the staff were excellent. All the nurses and doctors were fantastic and they had a positive attitude with a friendly, caring demeanour in a tough environment. Special mention to Steveo, Courtney and Ollie which were all great. Too many other names to remember but thank you.
I never had one issue and I was treated with utmost respect and the staff were helpful and friendly
Terrible customer service and phone etiquette. No help and patience given when dealing with a person with disability as it was “too difficult”.
I would like to express my gratitude to all of the Nurses along with the two Doctors who cared for my 12 year old Daughter tonight, the level of care demonstrated was absolutely outstanding, from start to finish you all went above & beyond.
We are so very thankful & feel so very blessed & greatful to have you all be so very helpful, compassionate and understanding.
I can't thank you all enough for the treatment my daughter received here in the paediatrics emergency stay.
Kind Regards
Tanya & Jada
I'm another reviewer wishing I could give you zero stars. Disgusting hospital, procedures performed without informed consent. Treatment of vulnerable patients is appalling. Complaints made in writing don't get answered - or you get a call from the 'team' and the complaint isn't addressed. Surgeons who think they are God make unilateral decisions without informing NOK. Hands down, has to be one of the worst public hospitals in SEQ. The entire hospital needs a complete review and investigation. I would put a complaint into the Ombudsman but looking at their reviews, it appears to be a waste of time.
Just had a toe amputation on Wednesday. I was very impressed with all the staff in the Operating Room. The nurses, Anaesthetists and Surgeons were very efficient and kept me completely informed on the whole procedure. The fact that they were removing my toe was made all the better by their feelings and their approach to me. Congratulations for a job well done.
@rosie working in imaging department
Thank you so much. You are a blessing
(Whoever sees this at Ipswich hospital can you tell her)
Thank you
Worst hospital in Australia
U would get better treatment at a vet than this place
1 star is still being nice after the treatment I received
Everyone at the Ipswich Hospital was so nice helpful in helping with my husband’s recovery the nursing staff couldn’t do enough to help him thank from both of us
Got transported in there by ambulance, got checked in, then was asked if I was right to walk to the waiting room n wait there, which I did n ended up waiting for 7.5hrs before I walked out. I did see a nurse who assessed me n said to go back out to the waiting room. Won't be going back there again
I came into emergency with a major finger injury. Over the course of 3 days I interacted with over 3 dozen staff members from orderlies to nurses to doctors and surgeons. To a person they were friendly and professional and represent the highest standard of hospital staff that I have ever come accross. In my opinion the Ipswich hospital staff are an asset to the Qld Health Department.
I took a taxi to emergency as I broke my shoulder. It was very busy but right from the start the staff were fantastic & friendly. From triage, nurses, porters & xray technicians plus the doctor. They are to be praised for thier work I actually enjoyed being there. Sounds wierd with all the pain but their sense of humour & cheerfulness is great.
My partner got forced to go home after cesarean section and told her it was too expensive to keep her in hospital, my partner is still in so much pain. Smh
They don’t care about women having miscarriages. Because of this hospital I have been bleeding for 3 months post miscarriage. I am anaemic and have an infection in my uterus. I got a scan privately yesterday and my uterus is still full of stuff. If they had done their duty of care they would have seen that I needed surgery. But instead they decided to tell me that there was no point getting surgery or doing ultrasounds because it “probably all came out”. The early pregnancy unit, the maternity ward and the emergency department have failed me. Absolutely disgraceful.
Best treatment at all. Highly educated, experienced, friendly, helpful and caring staff. Just what I need when I don't feel well. THANK YOU
My father waited 4 and a half hours, with a broken hand* no one in that time saw him or offered any pain relief. My father has Diabetes, dementia and Epilepsy.) absolutely shocking.
Ipswich hospital what a joke
My daughter was taken to Ipswich hospital last night after collapsing at home. She received such thorough care while there. She was tested, scanned and x-rayed. She was quizzed respectfully. She was even given a social worker to talk to about unrelated issues. Eventually she was diagnosed, had meds to get better and all results sent to her gp.
Wonderful caring service. Thank you to all that looked after my daughter.
