IGA Cannon Hill reviews
18To the employee who just packed my uber eats (pads and an energy drink, the gals know) and included a little treat for me, I LOVE YOU! Literally made my day
Always happy to support local businesses. Easy parking out front if 15mins or less required. Still easy carparking access.
Would usually visit Woolies or Coles rather than IGA because of prices however this marketplace has nice sushi train and Zarraffas.
I heard there’s new management. I checked it out and it’s great. Shelves are full again. It’s a great convenient store when you haven’t got time to go to Woolies. They have some great specials and I’m finding myself stopping off at IGA more and more now.
Probably one of the worst employers of young people that our family has encountered. Our daughter was employed by these people who did not pay her the award wages and struggled to pay the wages on time. Unfortunately she resigned as she couldn't afford to work any more Sunday night shifts as a 15 year old on her own and then not got paid without us requesting payment to her manager. Disgusting behaviour from any employer. For any young people looking for work please beware this is not a good employer.
Generally I'm not a huge fan of IGAs. They're more expensive than any of the other supermarkets in Australia, and try to justify it by claiming to be "local" businesses, despite being a chain that's franchised EVERYWHERE.
This one is a bit more expensive than Coles or Woolies, but not overly so, and does come through with some hard to find items as well as better operating hours. This is especially so on public holidays, where they're often the only supermarket open.
On balance, the Cannon Hill IGA location is well run and I've found myself shopping there even on non-holidays, despite the slightly higher prices.
RECOMMENDED
Always pop in here to grab little things I need. Fresh fruit and vegetables, good deli items, friendly helpful staff always up for a chat!
Super friendly staff and plenty of stock. Love the import section they have with the American goodies.
I like this new store. Friendly staff and have a lot of items.love their fresh fruit and vegetables. Easy parking.
Had the new butter chicken that is available
And let me tell you it is the nest I have ever tasted
Great value for money
Very convenient great prices and amazing staff
I think this iga is fairly new, it has a very good feel to it. I would prefer it to be a supa iga, opened till midnight but you can't have everything lol. The person who served me today gave me a warm welcome and is a charming individual. The shop is really well presented.
New owners. Great range of fruit and veg, cheeses and other specialty food stuffs.
Some deals are better than the major supermarkets.
This afternoon I bought 2 salads both within their use by dates, got them home went to make dinner and both salads were slimey! This business shut down overnight 2yrs ago for similar reasons! We were hoping it would be different this time! The milk I bought last week also was off but within use by dates! I took the salad back got an apology and replacement and as I provided polite feedback requesting it go back to management was told management was bad and trying to get new management in! It was nice to have the convenience of not heading to the major players for something left off the shopping list but moving forward I will be going back to Woolies/Coles! I strongly recommend no one shop here.its definitely a health and safety issue!
What a delight this store is! Fresh, clean, bright and lots to look at! Highly recommend this store and prices are mostly as good as any of the bigger food chains from what I saw. Good work. Friendly staff too!
CLOSED DOWN, Suddenly shut down with blacked out windows and warning notice saying dont attempt to enter property. Probably couldn't make a dollar with electricity bills running several freezers and fridges. I bet the Indian crew that ran place is happy they don't have to come back. They where the rudest miserable and unhelpful people I've ever experienced. I wont miss this place at all. The closest IGA is down the road at Tingalpa.
If you’re looking for Overpriced & Under Quality products then this is the IGA for you.
If you don’t mind poor customer service skills and buying products ONE DAY before their expiry then definitely shop here.
What a joke of a grocery store.
Don't go to this IGA if you're craving a salad. I just bought a Greek salad, which was lacking entirely of capsicum, the tomato was of poor quality and it had a dismal amount of fetta and olives. And they had the nerve to charge me $7 for it. Laughable.
Have given a salad a go on my lunch break twice now and both times I have had a gross dark black thick hair mixed in with it. Once is just bad luck but twice is a health and safety violation. This is disgusting and want a refund
