If you're getting a male haircut and the stylist is Andy, I suggest you to walk away. He is obviously not interested in doing male haircut and he did a sloppy job on me. I have never encountered a barber cutting hair without checking in the mirror. It's terrible!

Andy has vast experience with regards to hair treatments and was very helpful with feedback for my hair. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of getting my hair done in this particular salon. Will definitely recommend Andy and his team!

Lovely hair spa experience with Andy and Yol. We arrived early and were attended to right away. I left with my scalp feeling so clean and refreshed and lovely silky hair after the treatment and blow dry.
Would have loved a head massage with the service.

Highly recommend Autumn! She did a perm and wolf cut for me and offered plenty of suggestions and recommendations based on my hair, really showing her expertise. My hair turned out fantastic

This rating reflects the customer service experience due to the abrupt and intimidating behaviour of the manager&1 female staff.

Customer service: I attended for hair color and was asked very abruptly by the manager: what color?
I gestured for ‘the book’ indicating the colour chart and he responds with we don’t do the book anymore due to covid. I started describing the Colors I preferred and the next minute had the color chart passed to me. I replied indicating surprise that we now have the color chart. He responded with: you said the book, this is ‘color chart’ in a condescending manner.
He then said if there was color transfer on my handbag they would take no responsibility for it if it wasn’t kept in the closet, in an unpleasant/abrupt manner. In comparison, other salons have merely smiled and said: it would be safer to keep it out of the way to prevent color transfer. (I agree this is a reasonable point for them to make but it was the way the message was conveyed that is difficult to translate into writing here)
A short discussion ensued if I wanted it ‘lighter or darker’, none of the more detailed points such as color hues or if my purpose was to have greys covered.
I was then told it would be 200 (140 for color shoulder length hair/no bleach + 60 for a treatment mixed in within the color and 3 minute conditioning post wash) in total if it was card and $10 taken off if it was cash to which I agreed.
I was happy with the female staff who coloured my hair, she was very sweet.
During payment I was then told that if I paid by card it would be further charges to the $200, and realised the additional 10 dollars is only if you pay via a savings card but if you would like debit or credit cards there would further percentages applied to that. I was discussing this point with a different female staff who was taking payment who then pulled a face and demonstrated displeasure. I found this distasteful as every customer should have a right to clarify amounts they are being charged. I did witness the manager being lovely to a Korean speaking female, so perhaps it would have been different if I shared the same language however that is not good excuse for this behaviour.

Hairstyling service: The end result itself is nothing unique, brighter than I expected but then again due to minimal discussion during the process I am not sure what expectations I could have had.

Conclusion:
This review merely reflects my personal opinion as for me customer service is as important as the final product. Ideally for me attending a salon should be enjoyable and not be made to feel intimidated. I didn’t bring it up with the manager because he was a male and was the one who made me feel intimidated as a solo female client. I considered abstaining from writing this review as the response from the manager/salon will clearly be aggressive and unpleasant. But reviews are meant to provide a honest and transparent description of an individuals experience. I felt it fair that I made the public aware of my experience. (Otherwise what’s the point of a public forum for feedback) I am awaiting a harsh response from the manager, but to me the way a business responds to criticism speaks volumes about their customer service in itself. So don’t just take my word for it, look through their responses to negative reviews and make a judgment for yourself.
In summary, reasonable prices + average results+ unpleasant customer service.

I'm ZQs friend and yes I was that "old" Australian man you said.

I read your reply to zq therefore I think I need to clear the air.

Zq was nice to you at the whole time, even though he wasnt happy with the style you did at the beginning he did ask u nicely if you could make it a bit shorter. He also asked you to be gentle politely, perhaps u can revise how to gently cut hair

Clearly u didn't appreciate this as u became demonstrative with ur tools

The fact that he had a rash on his neck indicates just how rough the cut was

I am not sure what relevance my age has to do with this complaint, I suggest you take a course in customer service or etiquette or both

In closing lest ye judge too harshly.as people in glass houses.

I had hair colour, hair cut and hair treatment by Andy. It was my first time visiting the salon and it was great. Booking was easy and easy to find a location of salon in the heart of CBD. Andy listened to my needs and I was really happy to see how my hair turned out. Hair is much lighter and styled well to keep my naturally curled hair straighten. I have had other stylist at other places where they just skimmed my hair and had too much volume so I really, really appreciated he didn’t do that and styled with his special scissors! Hair treatment was quick but it feels really smooth and worth the money! I really liked the feel of hair after the treatment. Overall satisfied with my colour but the root of hair turned out to be a bit more brighter than I expected. It’s not a big deal though. I still like my new hair colour! I appreciated how the staffs were friendly and professional. The salon was clean and had fresh air from window so didn’t have to worry about Covid. I would come back again and inform others that it’s worth trying too. 안다씨, 감사합니다!

It was my first time at the salon today and I’m so happy to have found a salon I will be returning to.
I came in with very damaged, bleached hair and Andy sat down and took the time with me to talk through my options and hair goals.
He did a colour, treatment and cut and my hair has never looked better!
Great customer service and it is clear Andy is not only very experienced in his trade but is also focussed on delivering the best results!

Strongly recommend this salon for their familiarity with Asian hair and great value for money.

Andy the manager of the salon was terrible, did not take any of the feedback or preferences that I had, he would in fact visibly get annoyed. If you’re looking to have a pleasant chat or get a decent haircut do not get it with Andy. The ladies that work with him are great and are professional, Andy seems to be under the notion that he isn’t required to provide good customer service as he is the owner/manager of the business. I am immensely disappointed that I received my haircut from him.

Thank you for apologising. Manager Andy is clearly someone who does not take criticism well, he does not manage to sufficiently address any of the points I've made and instead lashes out by focusing on other irrelevant matters.

To address your first point I changed my username so I could return to have a haircut with one of your colleagues as they are great at their jobs, that is the only reason I changed it.

I personally don't believe it is strange that I prefer English over Korean when English is my first language, I do not find it strange that you prefer speaking Korean rather than English with your colleagues as Korean is your first language. The only reason I spoke to you in Korean was as a gesture of good will as you didn't seem to understand what I was saying in English. The fact that you would pick this point as a strategy of attack speaks volumes of your character.

As I stated before as a customer I found the service you provided terrible. You never clearly checked on my satisfaction with the haircut except at the end of the haircut and the minimal communication we had was always initiated by myself which you usually responded with one word answers or a grunt.

I see now why so many barbers have come and gone at your workplace.
I hope you can take this on board as feedback to improve your business.

I came and asked for a digital perm. The hairdresser told me that it could be risky because my hair was bleached a few months ago. So I wasn’t sure about getting it anymore. The main problem which bothers me the most is instead of sending me away and telling me „sorry no we don’t do it“ he showed me pictures of a girl with bleached hair who got a perm from him. He said „trust me“ „don’t worry“ instead and asked me if I want to take that risk. Of course somehow it’s also my fault cause I said yes but on the other side he gave me hope and the feeling that he could do it because of his experiences. Now! My hair is ruined! I can’t go outside with my hair open anymore I walk around for 2 months with a bun. My hair looks horrible! The top of my head is completely flat until my ears and from my ears to the bottom it’s just puffy and damaged. The only reason I give 2 stars is for the time he spend to do it and the discount he gave me. Still 130 dollar for me hiding everyday my hair from now on is just horrible. Now I got to wait until it grows to my chin and I have to cut my hair short cause I can’t walk around like this anymore. Bye
