A old school saddlery. My partner is a retired horse specialist and needed a special bit of equipment for her daughter in law. I looked online and read out the name she said my goodness I had a saddle from them bought 30 years ago it was the best saddle she'd ever had and only recently gave it to her daughter in law. We just had to check it out old school craftsmanship didn't have to equipment needed but could order it that's fair

I took my dressage saddle there to have some girth points put on. The workmanship/stitching was awful. They even used yellow thread on a black saddle and the girth points, which I asked to be long, are too short and the holes don't line up. I have now found another repairer to fix the awful job. I can't recommend them to anyone

Probably best if you're having a saddle made.
Not user friendly for the casual shopper and definitely don't go there expecting to find what's advertised on their website.

I'm from New Zealand was looking for a good stock saddle for station work.

Very impressed with the customer service here. Came to my paddock to measure up my wonky shaped gelding and then had a gorgeous saddle made and it fits like a dream.
Chose a ready made bridle to match, had a matching concho put in center of browband,
a few minor alterations so that bridle would fit him perfectly, and it dose.

Excellent customer service. Have been looking at James Saddlery saddles for a number of weeks. Contacted the company via email yesterday evening and had a response before opening hours this morning. Sent through another inquiry and received an immediate response and subsequent phone calls from Trevor James who answered my questions with patience and knowledge. Looking forward to being able to put a further review on once I receive my saddle.

Very impressed by James Saddlery, 5 stars for quality and service. I left purchasing my boyfriend's birthday present to the last minute, I purchased a stock whip which was great quality and they even couriered the whip to my house on the same day of purchase. Thanks Bev!

Terrible Customer service. Check out the other review websites for similar complaints. They have no knowledge of their products and don't care to find out, nor help the customer. Pathetic.

Bought a Colt Revolver saddle at Farm Fest this year. The saddle has a flex fit tree which is outstanding. It moves with the horse. The seat is so comfortable you would think you were in a lounge chair! I have just ridden a full day in this saddle- brand new- in super steep country. My butt is not sore, but the bloke I rode with has a very sore butt! I used to ride in a Cliff Killeen stock saddle and I would recommend this James saddle to anyone. In fact, I am going to buy 3 more saddles for my family. Economical and bloody good people!
