HOTA Markets reviews
28 Great variety with endless vendors
Great market probably one if the better markets on the Coast
We obviously didn't receive the memo about the uniform requirements and didn't turn up in our active wear and had no idea you needed to be a Sports illustrated Model to attend
We will return appropriately dressed next week for sure
Excellent markets with a great range of fresh produce, bakery items, cured meats and plenty of food options.
Worth checking out this market! Loads of fresh produce and bites. Don't miss out on the cannoli, German sausages, and nikumaki!
My wife Just purchased flowers for Xmas Day (tomorrow) $35 arrived home opened them to find half the bunch was dead. The silver dollar was falling all over the bench. Price gauging! Extremely disappointed
Fantastic range of foods from around the world. Go hungry, roll home. Lots of craft stalls too to while the time away while you wait for the food.
Lunchtime at the Hota Markets with the family. We had authentic German sausage with sauerkraut in a hotdog bun and Dutch donuts.
Yummy. Yummy
The place is busy which includes the parking and lining up for the food. Otherwise perfect spot for early lunch on Sunday.
Really enjoyable experience at the Sunday Market, relaxing atmosphere, lovely park by the canal, plenty of parking too.
Very very good markets
They meander about the site and are quite relaxing to attend.
Plenty is said by others about the quality of the stall holders but the entire site is all class.
Great markets, food of varying freshness and types. Breads galore and honey, which I love. Various cultures and lots of cooked food too. Other bits n bobs with live music from the lake side. Fancy some fresh goods and some cooked brekky with coffe by the lake, go here, it's got it all. Sorry, no nick nacks and general rubbish usually found at markets like this. Enjoy.
Awesome market with so many good stalls and delicious food. Beautiful surroundings too.
It's a pity that dogs are officially "not allowed" (even tho there is dogs anyways) when most people love dogs, I had 3 kids coming to pet my puppy during the 30min I sat at the entrance. It's a Gold Coast thing apparently, not an issue in the Brissy markets. Must be GC council over regulated bs again.
Anyways awesome market.
Never enough tables and chairs regardless of what time you get there despite the empty grass area, expensive food trucks for really basic food and long wait times we charge $8 for a bacon and egg roll in a restaurant ita such a ripoff
Talk about a for smorgasbord. Around every corner is a new delight with a different culture and flavour. If you're a foodie these markets are a must. You'll be upsetting your taste buds if you don't. Fresh fruit and vegetables to everything fried under the sun. Take your swimmers for some lakeside swimming fun. Vegans, vegos and GF you'll find yourself well catered for. The best blue berries in the world are found here but get in quick as they go fast. Plenty of nutritional products also available. Saturday and Sundays from 6am.
Well worth a visit, we had a 4 hr visit eating and sampling a vast mixture of delicious stall food. Lots of farm fresh produce and some great performers entertaining us all
Love the fresh fruit and veg! The food stalls here are amazing, so many different options to choose from!
Decent selection of fresh produce.
However a lot of the items are clearly purchased from wholesalers, while being falsely advertised as "organic" or sourced from "local" farms, charging premium prices.
Let me start with the food! Amazing! We shared the breakie burger, arrancini ball and sausage roll. All were fantastic after every bite. Service here is super lovely.we had the best time. Perfect location, especially if you have a dog! Or a family as there's a dog beach and a nice place to swim for small children. Also a great playground nearby. Lots of parking but it does get very busy.
A newcomer to these markets. What a brilliant morning chilling out in the park listening to music. I do wonder how friends with Disability would manage given the crowds blocking footpath making difficult to use mobility aids. I also have to giggle at the multiple large signs displaying " Dogs Not Allowed in Markets" and seeing dogs everywhere. I love dogs and they are always so well behaved.
They're not very good anymore, go back 3 years ago it was all about the fresh produce. Was a good little local market, now it's packed, over priced & it all feels very cramped.
Lots of food, family friendly, something for everyone. Nice for a Sunday til midday when it all closes
Love HOTA Farmers Markets for fresh fruit and vegetables, coffee and entertainment on a lazy Sunday morning.
