Hilton Cairns

My favourite place to stay in Cairns. Great rooms, big comfortable beds, excellent executive lounge, great swimming pool and nice gym.
Best thing about the Hilton is the location. Right next to Cairns Marina, across the road from the casino, 5 minutes walk to Woolworths in the heart of Cairns. I have stayed a few times and will stay here again.

If you go there thinking it's 5 star, you'll be disappointed. As others have pointed out, the facility is old and the service is poor. It's like a 10-story motel.
The air conditioner in the room wasn't working, so when I complained, she said, "I'll be right away, " and never came. That's fine, but I wonder if they reacted as if they knew the air conditioner wasn't working in the room when they made the request.
All the hotels in Cairns are basically old and not worth the price at all, so if you're going to stay there, the newer Crystalbrook is probably your best choice.

Asked a room services person and she said it’s not her Job to remove.
Deposit for room taken out my account twice, even after I said you can swipe my card now, the reception person said “no its ok I can do later”.
Hotel is in need of updating, everything is old and dated.
I expected better from a Hilton group Hotel.

We were made to feel very welcome. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms were very clean. The food was also lovely. Had a very comfortable stay.

The service is one of the most amazing I’ve ever experienced, Peter was amazing checking us and and highly recommend he went over and an out for our check in.

A great 5 night stay at Hilton Cairns. Located right on the waterfront a short walk from all the major activities and city centre. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. The hotel breakfasts were also top notch. The room was large and very comfortable and I liked the internal atrium and green gardens. I would definitely stay here again when in Cairns.

A very run down hotel with 30 year old HARD beds with the lining falling off. Most uncomfortable. Dont bother upgrading your room, you get nothing for the additional cost. Eat elsewhere as they do not have a proper dining facility. Air conditioning is unreliable and constantly changing depending on the demand within the hotel. It could be cold one night, hot the next.

Extremely well located hotel with a huge pool. Good rooms which were serviced really well. Lovely water views from balcony. Executive lounge was pleasant although very busy. Room service menu very limited. Good happy hour at the bar. Staff very friendly.

Celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary with friends from Adelaide (Dave and NOLA Roberts) my wife's twin sister we had a corner room (621) and we were spoilt by the front counter staff particularly Kim Smith Employee of the month

Great relaxed location for a few days r and r.
Close to everything on the Esplanade but far enough away to provide a tranquil and calm stay.
Hotel staff were fantastic very friendly and welcoming.
Not the newest or flashestkid on the block, but a good place to use as a base.

A hotel that is a landmark in Cairns. Its been there for decades so it must be doing something right. Our stay last week was comfortable. The experience from checking in, the stay, the view, the friendly staff, the parking and to the check out was great, friendly and professional. We have stayed in other properties in the Cairns CBD on our many visits but we will return to the Hilton on our next visit.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The upgrade we paid for to allow access to the Executive Lounge was value for money.
Outstanding location and outstanding service

Hilton Cairns have one of the best restaurants (Mondos) in Cairns and by far the most comfortable beds and pillows I've ever experienced. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Good choice of hotel in Cairns. Very convenient to the Esplanade and Cairns attractions. Rooms were modern and clean and very comfortable. Staff are amazing.

As Hilton Diamond members, we go out of our way to book Hilton. However, the poor experience from being given the wrong room at check in, to the Gin bar’s slow and confused service, to the pool bar and it’s expensive and maybe available glad wrapped sandwiches (who knows how long they were sitting in the fridge for), this has soured first stay in Cairns.
The only redeeming feature was the executive lounge reserved for diamond members only where the service from the lovely lady was amazing. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Even on mentioning issues to hotel staff, the offer of complementary beverage never arrived.

Very, very nice.room decor maybe a bit dated, but location, facilities and staff service were beyond expectations.

Staff are reception were always so helpful for the whole 7 nights especially Yna, Kim and Peter.
They could not do enough for you.
Our stay was fabulous.
The room with water view, the Pool Bar and Gin Social and Mondos what more could you want.
Perfect to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday.
Fantastic and will be back.

We stayed here for 7 nights. Thouroughly enjoyed it. Great location (handy to ferry terminal, boardwalk restaurants, casino etc. We had an ocean view room which i highly recommend. The pool is semi shaded and plenty of sun lounges. Breakfast buffet was terrific. Cant wait to return!
