I struggled to give Hillstone 1 star.
Such a beautiful venue that is so let down by very disappointing food, no service and unfriendly bar staff. Any small requests were all too hard. We will never go there again. Management have got it so wrong.

We had the best day at Hillstone! Special thanks to Phoebe - our wedding coordinator who was just awesome from day 1. We had to change the venue 2 months away and it was very stressful but Phoebe was so accommodating and we are so grateful of all her help! We had our dream winter wedding here in June 2022. The venue is gorgeous, the landscaping and gardens are well maintained and the staff were amazing (from our experience as well as feedback from our guests) We had 60 guests and used the Rosewood room/library bar. These rooms were beautiful and had character compared to a lot of other venues we looked at. I was worried it might be cool in winter with the open terrace of the library bar but they provided plenty of heaters to keep everyone comfortable. Many thanks to Jess our wedding coordinator who made sure our day ran perfectly, and shout out to Ben for looking after the bridal party!

Always a pleasant visit, winter or summer. Beautiful setting, lovely food and wine and usually good service. Great wedding venue spot as well.

Choosing a wedding reception venue is a difficult and important decision but, in the end, choosing Hillstone as our venue was not difficult at all. For us it ticked all the boxes, a beautiful venue with great parking in a good location, a tried-and-true venue with a good history for hospitality, food and service and that is exactly how we found our experience at Hillstone to be.

Our Venue co-ordinators, Lauren and Jess, were a pleasure to deal with, communication was easy and responsive which gave us great confidence that our very special night was going to run as smoothly as it did. An added bonus is the vendors list recommended by Hillstone as all the vendors we used from that list was excellent to deal this also.

Our wedding reception was truly perfect in every aspect. The Grand View Room looked spectacular! Our guests were catered to very well especially our guests with allergies. The wait staff were well trained and unobtrusive. The food was delicious.

Fantastic complex. We went for the mini golf. But, not just for golf, so many choices of areas for food and drinks. Would love to visit again

We got married at Hillstone on Saturday and we couldn't be happier. Our original venue was destroyed in the floods only 2 weeks prior to our wedding date and Hillstone accommodated our wedding with only 2 weeks notice. They really took care of us at a very stressful time.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we were so impressed with all the service. They went above and beyond. We were super impressed with the decorating, the time schedule, the golf buggys provided to take us to different photo locations, the food and how special they made us, the bride and groom, feel.

A shoutout to Jess and Lauren who were there looking after us while organising the wedding through to the wedding day.

We had the most perfect day at Hillstone.

We were married at Hillstone last weekend and couldn’t be happier with our wedding and the service that we received. From the very beginning, all staff were incredibly helpful, organised and accommodating. This was especially so when we had to postpone our initial wedding due to a COVID lockdown. We were so impressed with their attention to detail, the food and the overall service. They helped to make it the most perfect wedding day that we will remember forever. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Hillstone for a future event or recommend them to anyone else looking for a wedding or function venue.

Attended a large function recently.

Staff were great on all fronts.

Canapes on verandah were excellent.

Entree, (pork or smoked duck) my pork was undercooked and rubbery while the ducks skin was inedible as stated by a few others at my table.

Main, (chicken or beef). Chicken was ok but the tenderloin was dry and tough. Did speak to others at and near my table and some said it was fine so suspect it was hit and miss with this one and while I know it is hard at a function of over 200 people you still pay the price.

Desserts, all the desserts were good.

Again, the staff and venue were excellent but the food, at least for me and a few of the others at my table was well below the level we'd expect and have had at this venue in the past.

Bought an almond croissant for $7, was stale, went to return it for a fresh one and got told it was all they had, no offer of refund or switch. Took one bite and couldn't finish it

Planned a wedding and paid the deposit but due to covid restrictions had to down size the wedding but they were not willing to work with us and when we told them we wanted to cancel the wedding to switch to a different venue they didn't care at all.

Hillstone were a dream to work with for our wedding! Things didn't go to plan thanks to COVID and we had to pivot our 140 person wedding to a 40 person intimate reception. Hillstone were so flexible with our requirements and went the extra mile to ensure our day was perfect! I couldn't imagine it turning out any other way! Lauren did such a fantastic job to ensure the day was as stress free as possible! If you are looking to a venue with amazing food, views and atmosphere I couldn't recomend Hillstone more highly!

This is a great place to organise a wedding if you are a bit lazy/lost and want someone who knows what they are doing to guide you through it. The reception and ceremony space was excellent, the food was really delicious and Lauren was on hand to answer any of our questions and keep it all on track.

Get married here. It's easy.

I am so happy I chose Hillstone as my Wedding Venue. Right from the start of the planning process, the ladies at Hillstone were super easy to contact and talk to. We were able to select a brilliant all-inclusive package that absolutely catered to all our needs. And our wonderful wedding coordinator, Bec, was so lovely and attentive, she just made the whole day run so smoothly, it was fabulous! The Ceremony and Reception space was absolutely stunning, the food & drinks package was great and the guests had an amazing time! The venue Hillstone and their wedding/events coordinator team are both fantastic. Particular mention to Jessica Yuen as such a knowledgeable, kind and professional wedding coordinator. She is very efficient with queries and so helpful with the wedding venue research process. Hillstone is a gorgeous space with stylish, warm, and intimate event and wedding rooms. Their ceremony spaces are beautiful, particularly the Courtyard Garden. A wonderful place for weddings and celebrations, and a great team to deal with.
