Initially thought this practice might be ok. Was very very wrong. I made an appointment ahead of time but was struggling to leave the house. Rang them and they made my appointment a phone one, I had been there the day before as well for the same issue so my notes should be there and it shouldn’t be difficult. They made me pay for a phone appointment ahead of time, that never came. I tried calling back, no answer on the phones, for hours. Concerned I got my partner to take me down (as he was now home and I didn’t feel safe to drive earlier) The doors were shut hours earlier than advised both online and on the door. What type of medical centre does that? And doesn’t even attend an appointment that was made to pay in advance for? Now left high and dry and too late to go anywhere else. Absolute lack of duty of care to their patients. After reading through their other reviews I now see why this place is never busy, and why I had a feeling to avoid it before. This medical centre is not run well, they do not care here, please for your health and safety go somewhere else. Read the other reviews as well I wish I had before I went.

Recent visit to see a doctor regarding several issues with my son, doctor failed to send through the referral for a paediatrician creating an additional 2 month's delay without the proper treatment required, only due to going and seeing a different doctor was this realised and confirmed by reception and GCUH. Terrible patient services and failure of duty of care. Stay away if you care about yours and your families health and well-being.

Edit- Victoria, I've already emailed both the area manager and the email provided with contact details and no response- pretty poor communication.

I’m am so happy with the treatment I received from doctor Perera. Full skin check small operation to remove a spot and then insisted I get all my bloods done. Lucky I did.

Went to visit Dr Vithanage Perera and was very disappointed. My daughter came in with her leg infected. It was red and swollen around the wound, pus, warm to touch & my daughter was in pain. Every other doctor I have seen will give antibiotics to clear it up asap but no, I was told to put some savlon on it. What a joke! How many other families have come to see this doctor & told to just put some cream on it. Shocking.

Nothing but good things to say about Highlands Health Centre. We've seen Dr Perera multiple times now, he's always friendly, professional and good with kids. The reception and nursing staff have always been lovely and welcoming too.

Most certainly do not recommend this practice. The receptionist is unnecessarily rude and very unhelpful. For a drs surgery, most people expect a somewhat decent level of customer service or patient care and judging by other reviews, it’s a problem that is either going unnoticed or ignored.

Dr Aye Mon is one of the most unprofessional doctors I've ever seen. She is very dismissive, cutting me off while I'm explaining my issues, and minimizing my concerns without any explanation at all. I've lost count of the amount of problems I've brought up with her that she has dismissed with little to no examination.
One of my relatives saw Dr Mon recently, and during the appointment she was again rude, dismissive, and cutting her sentences off. She even got up as my relative was speaking, opened the door, and went to call the next patient in before she was even finished speaking! Absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional behaviour!
All of the other staff that I've briefly encountered are lovely, however I will not be visiting this clinic again.

Dr Aye Mon is amazing with my children and myself I feel as though she is very thorough and listens to all concerns.
Your older, short blonde hair receptionist however has the rudest manner and makes me question returning to this practice. If it wasn't for Dr Mon I would go elsewhere.
I've had 3 encounters now either on the phone or walking into an appointment where she has spoken incredibly rudely and like she is talking down to not only me, but other patients that walk in.
Earlier this week all of us sitting in the waiting room looked at each other in astoundedment as we could hear how rude she was to patients walking in. People actually walked out. Again, if it wasn't for Dr Mon I would have left and gone elsewhere too.

Asked for a phone appointment to find out results of test to be told that would be following day it is now a day after meant to be called as are away for work and can’t come in. Very poor communication to not even let someone know that they won’t get called that day.

Today my partner went to the clinic to see Dr Aye Mon after mistakingly booking for Tues 10/5 instead of Mon 9/5. She needed to book urgently and last minute as our 3yr old had a wild temp overnight and a possible ear infection. The receptionist was accommodating, asking Aye Mon if she could squeeze in our 3 yr old since it's a child. My partner was told no sorry she cannot squeeze her in. This is APPALLING to say the least. She has been our family doctor for the past 2 years and my partner has been going here since she was a child, and the service and quality of doctors has dramatically gone downhill with zero care in the world. For no other doctor to be able to see our 3yr old today in the entire clinic is just disgusting. I do not recommend this practice.

Same as others, Dr Drew, is the only decent doctor, but you can’t get to see her as, SHE IS THE ONLY DECENT DOCTOR I even heard a Nurse degrading her in front of another Doctor, My Husband has Dementia and I am- atmy wits end. Yesterday I rang for a phone script and was told Perrier was too busy and someone else would ring between 11 and 3. When I rang back at 4 they said I was put in as a know show and all had Doctors had left Dr MON would call at 7 am would I beAwake (is this a joke) After a very confusing conversation Dr Mon had no Idea what was going on but fair play she wasn’t going to prescribe something to someone illegally. Wouldn’t you look at that, before you made the call? Anyhow she proceeded with the script and I heard the ping in my phone. All I will say is I spent 2 hrs in that chemist on my 1 day a week respite This place should be looked into

Dr Ko prob one of the best Dr I've been to. Very professional and show lot of compassion and understanding. Even check up of my injury when I call up for other medical results, thank very much looking after me. Kudo to Chloe at reception, very quick responses and very helpful.

Dr Aye Mon is amazing, she is so caring, friendly, polite and very professional. She has always been accommodating with me and very thorough. I find that all the staff are. The receptionists are always lovely, the Pathology nurses are always kind and friendly.
This practice has everything and is very convenient.
Always happy with my experiences.

Absolutely terrible practice, ALWAYS running late, have waited up to 45 minutes on two seperate occasions. When I approached the reception, they were so unconcerned. If you are in need of care, don't go here, they DONT!

I rang the medical centre today 11/08/21 to see how many injections my son had there because he's due to have one tomorrow the receptionist said that the nurse was with another client I asked her if she could check so was put on hold waited for her to return she came back and said that she couldn't find the nurse and that they were closing in five minutes The staff down there are unless they stuffed up appointments and are rude and not professional at all. Not happy with them been going to this medical center for 18 year's.

The worst medical centre I’ve ever been to. Seen multiple doctors, they’re all rude and dismissive, won’t do anything to help you at all. I’ve had serious health concerns and ended up having to go to different practices because no one there will help. Most of the staff are nice but one particular women at the front desk has been extremely rude on multiple occasions. My family has had multiple instances where they do not call, either for consults or to cancel appointments and they claim they did despite not having any missed calls. The lady mentioned was asked twice to update the primary contact number and it only got changed after going into the clinic and speaking with a different receptionist. They have never called the secondary contact number despite the first number not ringing at all.

I have lived in this area and used this medical centre for over 20yrs, recently over the past 3 to 5 yrs this medical centre has become a revolving door for doctors and has deteriorated so much I am reluctant to visit anymore through past experiences with unprofessional doctors, the last one for my experience was I was there on a personal embarrassing issue which the female doctor (can't remember name) needed a receptionist to witness due to nature of problem, they came in joking and laughing either way whether related to me or not I felt embarrassed and humiliated to the degree I have never been back.most recent example of this - my wife rang for appointment on Fri 6th Aug due to our son being sick with very bad cough (chest infection) has had covid test Wed 4th Aug as required and returned negative.they insisted on over the phone appointment Dr Aye Mon stated to my wife she would send prescription via text which did not arrive. Now it's Saturday centre closed so we are sourcing another doctor for help. I cannot comment on other doctors with one exception - and that is Dr Drew - she would be the only professional doctor at this clinic that I would recommend anyone to see. I hope this does not reflect on the doctors at the clinic that are helpful and professional but rather the manager of the centre responsible for running the clinic.
