Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre

Was great, the indoor lap pool was nice and cool and well shaded. And as you would expect in January the outside pool and kids wading area were very warm.
Biggest fault with this place is to me is that we used to bring out kids here when there was slides and a awesome kids setup.
It is hard to find a patch of water with shade when lap swimming is happening also.
Very clean, lots of staff and were all very friendly. Good value for money.

Friendly staff! We went at 5.30 pm for a quick swim on a weekday night in winter and found the indoor very busy due to lessons but still enough room for a swim:)

Great place for exercise but bird netting needed for top pool too stop birds droppings in water but shire should build a new pool in Hervey Bay

Great facility. Beautiful clean pool and exceptionally friendly, helpful staff. Was holidaying in Hervey Bay, will go back to this venue again next time.

The staff are great and the facility is awesome. I use the hydrotherapy pool, can't speak more highly.

Oh my cod, let me tell you, the staff at this place are top-notch! They're so friendly and helpful, they could make a grumpy old sea bass crack a smile. And don't even get me started on the pools, they're so well-maintained you could practically see your reflection in the water (if you don't mind looking like a bloated blowfish, that is). But the real catch of the day? Their hot chips! They're so crispy and delicious, you'll want to keep eating them until you're stuffed like a sardine. So if you're looking for a place with great staff, awesome pools, and some seriously tasty treats, this is the plaice for you!

An incredibly supportive team environment. Aquatic aerobics classes professionally run and the indoor hydrotherapy learn to swim pool is super for all levels of disability or cognitive impairment. What a great team of instructors and swim coaches.

This is a great aquatic centre. There's a lovely little paddle pool for the little kids with two shaded areas for when the sun is beating down, and a big tipper bucket that splashes all the older kids and parents if you get under at the right time. There's a big 50m lap pool with one lane open for playing around, and this pool is the one that hosts aqua aerobics and Zumba classes in the mornings. There's an undercover pool that's always very warm, with a lane dedicated to playing and the others for swimming laps. There's also a heated indoor rehabilitation pool, which also allows babies under 2 in with one parent at a time. It's great for those little ones who get too cold too quickly in the other pools. There are plenty of grassy areas, a barbecue area for hosting birthday parties, some areas shaded by trees, some shaded by sails. There's a change area, a cafe, and plenty of benches to have a seat before or after swimming. Wonderful to have such great amenities close to home!

Well organised. Clear water. Systematic enrolment and alm safety measures are taken. Qualified instructors for the new learner.

Great facilities, friendly staff and patrons. Could do with another 50m pool though! It gets pretty full in the mornings with aqua warriors and the regular lappers. Evenings are probably worse, with squads, recreation and the occasional fitness class, leaving few lanes for lap swimmers.

Another pool is sorely needed!

Well supported by friendly, professional life guards. Nice grounds, well appointed with lots of shade options. The kiosk is service with a smile. Very welvoming

Nice place for a dip, really like the wading pool as usual enough water to float in to cool off. We went mid week so most lanes in big pool were closed for school and then the wading pool was inundated with young kids.was still nice though. Has shade sales and grassy areas to sit.

Really well set out. Clean areas and amenities. Plenty of life guards. Heated pool could be a bit warmer though.

Shocking experience for my daughter. Not encouraging at all and actually put her down infront of me because she wasn't up to their standards, (This shouldn't have been said infront of her) thanks for ruining her self esteem. Ended up loosing money and just pulling her out. Chick that runs squad indoors was always texting on her phone and eating.not a good look. Went to Elders. Way better and my daughters confidence came Back.
Train your staff better and to keep of their phones whilst supervising children in water. Accident waiting to happen.

Lovely clean pool and plenty of lanes to swim laps outside. Staff are very friendly. Clean change rooms and a nice warm shower. Perfect!

Brilliant Service from the guy at the front he is doing his best just a little bit annoying how he is alway asking for my card although my mum has it.

50m outdoor pool clean and nice views when you come up for air. Ladder access. Can be cool when you get in but great for laps. No shade.

50-100m walk including incline up to 25m and hydro pool.

25m indoor pool has 3 x steps with 2 x handrails, small incline ramp access with 2 x handrails or hoist access. 27 (ish) degrees.

Smaller indoor heated pool only open from 11am and no ramp access, only ladder, or one shallow step down.

Kiddy wading pools with shade, areas up to 0.8m.

Ample parking. Generous opening hours inc.public holidays.

Love the Aqua classes with Renee on a Wednesday & Thurs day. All the staff very friendly especially Karen to greet you when you sign in. The pool is amazing especially this time of year!
