Healthworks Ipswich

Applied for a membership to start late last year, never stepped one foot into the gym as I had to leave on a trip that was unexpected. Called the staff and advised I was leaving and wanted to postpone my membership till I returned. They advised me I needed to come into the gym and have my ID photo taken before I could use the facilities and be charged. Been charged every week since applied.asked to be reimbursed or credited and was told they cannot help me without any medical certificate or proof of communication. Which I have neither of. Can't even credit a customer who has paided for months without realising and not stepped into the gym.

Never stepped into the gym and I want to start next week, what kind of company doesn't look after there customers.

Got flooded back in FEB Unfortunately was offered no support and they will keep charging your account even if you want it cancelled.they refuse to cancel your service until your amount is paid, and will permantly charge you if you can't afford the fee they charge

I enjoyed my time being part of this gym, the only complaint I would have was the lack of airflow, I like to have air blowing on me as I hate feeling too hot. Staff are really friendly and always willing to help, especially Katy. They offer many classes, I personally didn't take any of them but they seemed very good. There is also have a pool outside if you're wanting to use it, not a full size lap pool but it's a decent size (good for people with joint issues). There are lockers to utilise and an in house sauna, toilets and showers and cold water on demand. Quite COVID safe, there are always wipes and sprays for the equipment available. The range of equipment is perfect, there are cardio machines, weight machines and free weights, something for everybody.

Made it next to impossible to cancel our membership, and when we finally did, found out they'd neglected to tell us that they'd changed their terms and conditions so we were left having to pay 28 days notice, instead of 14 days. Shonky as hell, avoid at all costs.

Club Lime (Previously Healthworks gym) is a great gym with a pool and a wide range of classes and equipment. Love the friendly team and that you have a creche!

This gym changed ownership overnight without even sending out a courtesy email to existing customers. We were away and thought our gym had gone out of business. We tried to call and the phone number was not working, the website was no longer active so we put a block on our automatic payments through the bank. When we returned we went into the newly branded business and asked if we could still use the gym or if we needed to sign a new membership. We found the new business had still been charging us. We have tried to call and email club lime numerous times to find out what's going on and why they are charging us when the account should have been on hold and if they should have been charging us at all as our contract was with Healthworks. We have never been able to get in contact by phone or by email and looking at the new club lime site our fees are going up and up and we have never been to club lime. Very poor customer service, unfair fees and a business we did not sign up with, has no right to charge us when A: we have never used their gym and B: they are almost non-contactable.

Great staff, wide range of classes, great kids club, not too crowded and you get heaps for your membership. Highly recommended.

Great facilities, has everything you could need. Love the pool and sauna for those easy rest days as well. Many great classes available at no extra cost. I look forward to going in everyday. Excellent value.

Would have to be my favourite gym in all of Ipswich, we drive past several others just to go here

Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Love the privacy of the boxing room downstairs. Very reasonably priced. Great to have facilities like a pool, tennis and squash courts available and great fitness classes. Love it.

Friendly staff & best value for money I could find for gyms in the area. Offers more than your standard gym (tennis courts, squash courts, swimming pool) and has decent range of classes. Really enjoying my membership here:)

Great staff, always willing to help and give advice. Modern equipment with plenty for everyone, nice modern amenities that are always kept clean and provide enough space if needing to get ready for work etc post workout.
A gym that really covers everything including squash and aqua aerobics and have their own Dietician and EP.

Excellent range of equipment, some really GOOD oldskool machines and all the new stuff plus squash and a bag room. Nice and cool with really friendly staff.

Mediocre gym, female staff with attitudes. Crowded in peak times. Class studio does NOT have AC.

A few female staff seem a lot of attitudes. One had a go at me for not booking online while I did not know that the system even exists. She did NOT bother to even show me where the booking system is and went on about kicking people out of the classes unless.

The gym and workout floor space feel small with an average range of workout tool.

All staff members are so friendly and helpful.
Great equipment and a wide range of classes

Fair membership prices for what you're getting: pool, squash discounts, boxing room, sauna, renovated facilities, Olympic weightlifting platform, classes, friendly staff, and all the regular gym things. Been a member to quite a few gyms, and this one has to be one of the best. Big fan.

Great little gym. Not stuck working out with 100 people fitting over equipment. Refurbishment looks great. Friendly staff.
