Went into the store on Saturday 11th around 10am.
2 staff on. One was helping a customer the other one stayed behind the register. Once finished with the customer the staff member went to the register with the other staff.
Completely ignored myself & my husband. Walked out disappointed as this was the only purpose of our visit to Carindale.

Great range of products and fast delivery. However, the product was faulty and they didn't want to know. Slow, rude customer service and were not able to help us sort the problem out. All we wanted was an exchange or refund but no, we had to contact some third party in Sydney. Lodged a dispute.what a waste of time and money. Very unnecessary. Sad when we could have been a great customer. Very short sighted.

I have 3 Akubras ordered from Hats by the Hundred: a Slouch Hat / Digger's Hat, the Territory (a drover's hat with a very commanding brim) and the Coober Pedy (my dress hat / Church hat). My Digger's Hat is in Khaki; my Territory and Coober Pedy are in Sand. I find the lighter colored hats to be less masculine. I've worn a Digger's Hat for years (and can tell.you what the trade value of a well-worn Digger's Hat is in Scotland or Scots-Canada.because a good Scot will want to trade for it.and Scots love to trade). I take a 61, so it's impossible to find an off-the-shelf women's hat that fits. I'm the only person in my immediate family that hasn't had skin cancer. I've practiced slip, slap, slop, seek and slide since I was 17, when my younger brother developed melanoma. I don't go out without a hat on (unless the hood of my parka is up).

The customer service is superb. As long as whatever I order gets to the airport by Saturday Morning (AET), it will show up in US Customs in Kennedy on Sunday, clear US customs overnight and be on my doorstep Monday morning. I highly recommend upgrading to the Express Delivery Service, especially if you live somewhere where there's Porch Pirates. Yes, my building and neighborhood has them. That way, the postman will hand you the box (and avoid the Porch Pirates). The hats arrived in perfect shape.

I am impressed with the quality and durability of my Akubras. If you take halfway decent care of your Akubra, it will give you many, many years of service, even if you are somewhat hard on your hats. I found a custom hatter in Jamaica Plain, Boston, (Italian) who is happy to clean and reblock Akubras. He loves a good hat. He would like to cary Akubras, if it wasn't such a huge hassle. He recommends that you buy your hat in Australia and have it shipped. He's familiar with the range and asks that you talk to him before purchasing, to make sure he has the right blocks to service the hat. He's not factory certified, but what do you expect in the States?

I used to wear a Blue Stetson Sombrero. I would steam the brim, to turn it into a Sinaloa Sombrero. When it sun faded, the blue turned into New York State Trooper Grey (Useful when my mate has a lead foot in or near New York State.) Because the Greater Boston Area is ultra Liberal and they equate Western hats with the political right wing, you're asking for trouble if you wear a Western hat around these parts. (That's akin to wearing a Montreal Canadiens sweater to a Boston Bruins game.) I love my Akubras because they're iconic Aussie; I can have my hat and wear it too.

Store is clean and uncluttered, the clerk who helped us was very patient with our socially anxious group, and I was pleasantly surprised to see all the hats we looked at were Australian.

PLEASE NOT GO TO THIS STORE! You can purchase thousands of hats online. The customer service is very poor and the skew barcodes do not match the price when you make a purchase.as just recently I purchased a hat that was labelled $49.95 and later I checked my bank statement and was charged $59.95. I later spoke to the Manager and she told me that they have sands of skews and can't help that these issues occur. WOW. BE VERY CAREFUL AT THIS SHOP!

Absolutely amazing service start to finish from Keenan. 10/10 will recommend Keenan if you're unsure on what style or make.

Went to buy 2 hats that we had already picked but the staff member told us he was closing early and wouldn't serve us
So we bought the 2 hats at a different store 2 days later
Wont be going there again

I went to Hats By The Hundred at Carindale today and I could not be happier with the service that I received. The man who was working there went above and beyond to help me find a hat for my father, taking into account my budget and the types of hats I was interested in. He was very knowledgeable and informative and genuinely seemed interested in helping me choose the right hat. He even tried on some of the hats for me so that I could see what they would look like on! So kind and helpful. This store will always be my go to store in the future when I’m looking for a hat for my dad or myself. They also had children’s hats too.
I feel disappointed when I read comments that this store was given a 1 star rating for things like running out of carry bags…. Seriously? Let’s be happy that we have the store to go to and that it has survived through Covid. There are plenty of worse things happening in the world than running out of bags. In a world where you can be anything, be kind:)

Came here on a Thursday specifically to visit the store. Although advertised open until 9pm, store was closed at 645pm. Please update your operating hours!

What an amazing shop with variety of choice, friendly and helpful staff. Love going in an just having a look at the huge variety!

Found a hat I wanted but when my wife went to purchased my hat for me (for wedding) shop assistant said they had no bag for my new purchase. She suggest for me to come back later and my wife asked her will there be bags then and she said nodded no. I think hats by the hundred needs to rename there shop name to hats with no bags.

This is definitely one of the best hat stores I've ever been in! They've got a MASSIVE range and the girls behind the counter were super friendly and helpful with sizing and selecting the right Akubra hat for me. They really do live up to their name - Hats by the Hundred is an understatement - more like Hats by the Thousand! Will definitely be back for more hats soon!

Amazing service and selection! The staff were super helpful with sizing & style advice. The store itself was nice and tidy; the staff seemed very on top of keeping everything presentable. I will definitely be back for more in the future!
