Go to Cleavers, at least they carry stock

Disappointing, I am a current serving member of the Australian Army and the guys at GW knew this. I enquired about a folding knife which I required for an upcoming deployment overseas, initial contact seemed legit but I was wrong. I had to call them (GW) back to enquire about my own enquiry over the span of 2.5 weeks. Just because you are busy selling a lot of weapons and ammunition, does not mean you forget about other genuine customers that also serve this great country of ours.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. Walked in this morning with some questions regarding storage and left the store with all my questions answered and more. Staff took the time to help and chat. Much better experience than I've had at other stores.

Top guys easy to deal with just no 303,8mm mauser or 7.62x 54R. Sold out except 54R which they dont carry.

Friendly staff and quite helpful. Always willing to help however they can. Great variety of guns / accessories also. Store is quite clean and well laid out.

Andrew, Barry and the guys at gunworld hillcrest have been helpful and nothing is a problem to them. Les and I have been there a few times buying and trying to solve problems we have ourselves, we think they are great

Just hopeless.

Interstate customer wanting to buy an air rifle online via Gun World. Initial phone contact was competent enough and agreed to sales terms. Store contact was going to email me invoice with payment terms. Waited 3 days. Nothing. Prompted for invoice via email. Received it promptly though the terms we'd discussed over the phone where completely ignored (it'd been changed to 100% upfront payment instead of the agreed 50% deposit, then 50% balance plus postage on settlement when stock arrived in 4 weeks). Emailed back asking for updated invoice reflecting the originally discussed terms. No reply received as at 4 days later. Emailed and cancelled order. Again no reply. Obviously not interested. Bizarre business model. Strange customer service.

The staff are always extremely polite and willing to spend plenty of time answering any questions thrown their way.

I've been fairly dissatisfied with other firearms stores around brisbane, the team here always make you feel welcome, whether you're chasing a $5 part or a brand new rifle.

Great place, always a great atmosphere as you enter and are addressed by name. They're willing to set up packages, as well as deal with indecisiveness of customers (such as myself) very professionally and in a way which benefits the customer wholly. With a fair selection of rifles, handguns and shotguns of all value levels, they have something for everyone. While their prices are a little higher than their larger competitor on the northside, the consistently amazing service will leave customers happy and willing to return.

I was looking to buy a set of binoculars for bird watching and a friend sugested i try a gun store.
I went in to the store not knowing what to expect and a tad nervous.
However when i got there i was greeted by a young man who was very polite and eager to help he even let me take some outside to have a look into the trees to make up my mind.

I went into gunworld really wanting to buy a ruger precision, now I know that not all shops get the same access to deals as others and you pay for the cheap prices in other ways at cleavers but I was astonished to see the huge price difference between the two. I ended up buying from cleavers and pocketed the several hundered dollars difference - cleavers mentioned that the distributor of ruger won't sell to gunworld and hence why their prices are expensive as they are buying it off another shop. Hearing that explains what I saw first hand! It pays to shop around and price check!

UPDATE: Cleavers are $2499 and had it instock, where as gunworld was in the 3k range and was going to take weeks. Yes a few hundred dollars!

This is quite possibly the worst stocked gunshop in the country. I've given this store ample opportunity due to its convenience, however they never have any stock except if $3k scopes is what your after. I don't need clothes and eski's either, just some powder and projectiles please. You know, the staples.
Never again.

Great customer service always nice and friendly, got my guns from here always do great deals, rather go to this shop than any other gun shop:)
