Grand Ideas reviews
17 My first time visiting this "grand" place was with a friend on Wednesday afternoon.
Grand Ideas has everything from nick-nacks, to doors and door hinges, mirrors, clocks, old advertising memorabilia, amongst many other things at really good prices.
Plus there is a cafe in store!
I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. It's like an Aladdin's cave full of treasures waiting to be discovered
Amazing shop! I can’t wait to visit again on my travels to Brisbane. I spent well over a hour looking around. The staff are very polite and helpful with finding things if your after something particular.
Fantastic range but rude male staff member made me want to never return. Asked about prices and was treated with absolute disrespect. Don’t understand how you can treat customers this way. Happily spending my hard earned money elsewhere.
Beyond awesome staff organised sewing room parts to be shipped to me in Perth. My telephone calls and emails were promptly and cheerfully answered.
Goods were packed carefully and appropriately for the journey. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
Great stuff: Great Folk.
The lack of pricing concerns me. As does the prices on items that do have prices. Could be better set out but the clutter may appeal to some.
This place is amazing if you are a builder or Diy. They have loads of old doors and other things is definitely a visit if you are renovating an old Quenslander or post war house.
Or even movie props as they had 2 production companies arrive and purchase a heap of things.
Awesome. Been following them on Facebook but wanted to take a real look. This place is like a treasure trove for eclectic furnishing/home decor. Extremely friendly and very helpful.
A treasure trove of junk. A sensational place to find that special stuff you need for a renovation or an innovative architectural design
What a great hidden gem. Will certainly keep this place in mind for the next DIY project, they will definitely have any odd part and pieces you need. Just go for a cruise around the place and come away with a thousand ideas to try. Nice little coffee shop too, coffee was good. Overall a really good vibe from here
This place is so fun to walk through. No matter how much money I have in my pocket I can always find a little treasure to take home. Quiet and overflowing with interesting and beautiful things.
The cafe staff are so wonderful and friendly and the little brownie with each coffee is to die for. They have always remembered my order which i thought was just above and beyond.
Amazing! Old rusty intriguing and AMAZING! I now visit every time I am in Brisbane and there is always many things I lust after. Good thing most won't fit in my car. At Grand Ideas there is a fabulous cafe run by the most caring and friendly fellow. Last time we were there he went way beyond to tempt my husband - on our way from hospital to eat. History comes alive in places like Grand Ideas.
The cafe staff are probably the nicest people that exist on earth. They are so warm and welcoming. Great service, great prices, can't recommend the cafe enough. The Grand Ideas store itself is stocked with a lot of hard to find stuff, with a huge selection of old doors, windows, locks, etc. Definitely worth a poke around.
So many ideas. Great staff who stop and talk to you no questions to random. Make sure you get into all the nooks and crannies.
Clever people, things getting a second purpose in life all at a reasonable cost. They also deliver.
A step back in time. Many different items from old records, lights, hand tools, old maps, wooden ladders, timber, wagon wheels and doors doors doors. Staff are awesome too.
They have a huge selection of old doors, windows and knick knacks. It was nice stuff but just too expensive for us to warrant. I'm sure it would be right up some people's alley.
