Love this place. From the moment I stepped foot in the gym I was made to feel at home by staff and members. Professor Joao is a great instructor who’s wealth of knowledge is passed down in fun and exciting classes.

Members are respectful of each other and help make the BJJ experience great. If you have gotten this far and are reading reviews - There is really only one thing left to do - come down, meet the team and have a chat to Joao (program director) - you will love it!

It is an absolute pleasure to train at this gym. So many positives I have experienced in the 1 month I have been here already as a beginner. Leo the professor is an amazing teacher and a genuinely nice guy with an obviously incredible skill set. Joao who handles the management side of things is about as nice and friendly of a guy as you could ever come across. Perhaps the most important aspect though is the culture and attitudes of the fellow students here, all friendly, supportive and competitive. For anyone who is contemplating staring their own bjj journey I would strongly encourage them to take the leap and walk into this gym, you will not regret it.

GB Broadbeach is a fantastic Jiu Jitsu Academy. Having not trained in BJJ before, I found the environment welcoming, the professor and other instructors patient and knowledgeable and the other students enthusiastic and great to train with. Program Director Joao and Professor Leo have done well to create a gym with a great cadre of new members who wish to start a Jiu Jitsu journey and it is a privilege to train at this gym from its inception.
