GoWake Cable Park – Mackay

Went wakeboarding for half the day and it was amazing. Best activity you can do with or without mates. Very friendly staff that help you to improve when your getting started.

Nice little walk path and if you like to learn a new water sports activity there wakeboarding. The cafe is great for those that like to watch on the sidelines and witness the wipeouts and they have reasonable prices.

First time wake boarding and the guys were able to give me tips and get me up on my 2nd go! Also great tasting pizza for when you finish in the water.

Thought it was a bit pricey before I started, but the instructors were extremely helpful and it was a great experience. Learned how to wakeboard very fast thanks to the great advice of the workers and enjoyed it thoroughly. Would highly recommend to get the day pass and stay for 3+ hours however, as the time flew by very quickly.

Great staff really look after my kids and encourage them to keep on getting better or just to keep trying.

The only good thing about the wake house was that you could order from a QR code on the table and the Coffee was decent. If you like listening to people gurney off the deck, and getting told to move tables whilst you are waiting for your breakfast so they can gurney where you are sitting, then this is the place for you. The breakfast was so ordinary you could easily make it better yourself at home.

An absolute hoot. Be prepared for sore muscles afterwards, but well worth the discomfort. Super friendly and helpful staff

The wake house is filled with super nice and caring people. Everyone will help you out and give you tips if you’re going to do a new trick that you haven’t tried. Even if you fall, everyone cheers and says good try. You will always get back up again.

Went down for breakfast which was really nice and a good size and reasonably priced. Had a bit of entertainment watching the grommets learning how to wake board.

I was only a spectator but it looked great and staff were pleasant and patient with the children

I moved to mackay a few months ago. This place is amazing. I’ve been to a wake park when I was.much younger and when compared this park is heaps awesomer! The team they have there are super friendly and helpful. They have great food and drinks. This is now my regular place to wind down. Keep it up legends.

Yesterday was my first time at the Wakehouse, it had a great atmosphere, the staff’s friendly and positive attitude made for a great day. The food was exceptional, I would easily go back just for the food.

Saw their Facebook advert offering sunset views and live music on Friday nights - sounded good.
Got there early, picked a seat out of the sun and a good view of the activities on the water. Ordered drinks and sat back to enjoy.
Then we were asked to move so they could accommodate an event. Soooo we enjoyed the blocked out view of the rope set up, the thudding noise of the engine behind us and in full hot sun.
Opted not to order food or further drinks.
That said - we'd try again and hopefully give 5 stars. Seems like a good place to enjoy the hot weather with some water activities by day and drinks under the fairy lights on the deck at night.

Staff are super friendly and really helpful.the whole place is a great set up with a nice Cafe. Couldn't fault my visit.

I visited with my son who is an experienced wakeboarder. I'd only tried once before behind a ski boat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gear was in good condition and easy to fit. Dan (the cable operator) was a great instructor and after 4 attempts I managed to get up and make it one lap. I had several more laps in my hour. The food at their cafe was delicious and reasonably priced. If I visit Mackay I will definitely go back.

Great place, great friendly staff, yummy food. Great to have the dedication and attention the guy in charge of the cables gave us.

Kids had a ball and it was great that the bigger kids help the littlies up onto the higher inflatables as well as the lifeguards. Lots of good fun and healthy exercise to wear them out!

We tried wakeboarding for the very first time here. Although our performance was pretty poor we had a lot of fun. The staff is very friendly and provides good advice for amateurs like us.
