Goodlife Health Clubs West End reviews
35 Love this gym, great spot being so easy to get too. Yes it is a little smaller than some other Goodlife gyms but this makes it more personal and gives a great vibe. Always friendly and helpful staff with a fantastic range of different classes offered at all times of day. No excuses here …. There is always something on. Just the right amount of equipment for me and like all gyms yes it’s busy at peak times but you have to expect that as it’s normal.
5 stars from me and thank you for getting me into Reform Pilates as well ;0)

Clean, modern equipment and nice and cool which is a big plus! Not too busy, lots of equipment available when I come in around 2pm.
Small for the amount of members this would serve as a home gym. Only a few benches for freeweights which was 100% taken for the full time i was there. Great quality equipment though which was clean.
Just that a 30 minute workout took over an hour, as its full of people doing max reps of their thumbs (sitting in their phone). And taking up all the equipment. Just super crowded but overall an alright location, has good potential, not bad not amazing. 3/5.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Completely overcrowded and poorly maintained. By far the worst gym I've been to in 10+ years.
Management have not put a cap on the number of memberships they sell. AS a result its always overcrowded and almost impossible to train in the afternoons.
I also requested cancel my membership, the staff were quick to take the cancellation fee of $290, however, I had to call multiple times accross 2 weeks to actually have my membership cancelled.
Horrible gym, it's always overcrowded and busy. I also made the mistake of signing up for a year, four months in, and I have hardly used my membership. What's the point of going to a gym that is always so busy, with limited equipment. This goodlife is tiny compared to their other gyms. Save yourself the money and sign up to another gym.
Yeerongpilly even those is not open yet, must be keen to get members, when they put up posters at bus stops which is not allowed, put junk mail in letter boxes that says no junk mail and other locations ring you getting you to join even those the so called free trial is not finished.
I have no complaints about the gym itself other than being small with limited equipment. However my complaint relates to the access cards. I work long hours and needed a 24hr gym. When I started, they didn’t have any access cards available. Told me to go to another gym to get a card but other gyms told me it’s my home gyms responsibility. Then west end told me it’ll arrive next week etc etc. I kept asking for an access card over and over again for 4 months but every good life gym had no access cards. Then when goodlife took over fitness first, the fitness first members had priority over me with access cards. If they couldn’t look after their own paying customers, I quit and will take my business elsewhere. And magically they had a card available for me. I discovered after I quit that some goodlife like at Springwood can actually let you enter the gym with the app. Something west end should have invested in right from the start and would have kept me as a customer.
Overcrowded, super bright lights everywhere, staff are useless, no sauna, just bad honestly
Some machines are broken, since long time ago and has bot been fixed.
Additionally not space because it is very busy most of the time.
Costumer service 0 zero
The change rooms here are dimly lit, they stink of body odour and toilets are never clean. The also do not allow cash payments which is ridiculous. It's just about your money at this gym franchise go somewhere else.
Would not recommend for weight training. Not enough equipment. Not tidy, could hardly do my program as either parts were missing or equipment in use.
Homeless people sleep in the chnagerooms regularly.
FEMALES PLEASE BE Aware. I can't comment on Wether the same applies to the female changeroom but please be aware.
This is such an unsafe situation I am surprised nothing had been done about it.
Some piggyback In. I have seen those with access cards swipe in. It is intensely unfortunate to be in their position, alas I do not think maintaining your gym membership allows you to utilise it to sleep in at night. Shower/toilet/use wifi. Yeah go for it! But sleeping?
Please clean your showers. The same fake nail and tampon package is still in the shower and it’s been over a week!
Happy with Goodlife West End. A smaller gym compared to other Goodlife gyms but the Reform Pilates classes are great as part of the Platinum membership. Terrific value and friendly instructors to guide workouts.
Hi, Goodlife west end.
I am very happy to have joined Goodlife for almost two years. But recently I found out that my membership fee has increased.
At the end of December 2022, I referred my friend to join Goodlife in the West End store. I asked the clerk how long my contract was, and she checked it for me and told me that if I resign my contract, I can continue to pay $15.99. I agreed.
But since December 20th, my bill record is still $16.47. And I don't see 2 weeks free either (referred to a few friends before and didn't get free either).
These things add up to my great disappointment.
These guys are as bad as used car salespeople. Painfully annoying phone call ajd msgs after I cancelled membership trying to get me to rejoin no matter how many times I tell them I can't stand their club. I've had trouble in the past with the Cleveland club debiting me after my membership ended too. I think you really have to keep an eye on these guys they are on par with loan sharks with late fees also.
A few weeks ago my money was stolen from my wallet in the lockers and I called the goodlife about it and they never called back or even cared to look into the matter. The guy probably still stealing customer stuff btw. 17/01/23
Goodlifes' newest gym in Brisbane is big, well set out and clean.
They have had problems with the sanitary towel dispensers, they seem to be empty or broken every week, but otherwise, it's a superb gym with new equipment and machines
If you train before or after work don’t bother.
Over crowded, not enough equipment, terrible layout.
Debt collection agency which just happens to have an on-site gym.
There are countless gyms in Brisbane. For the sake of all that is good, avoid this one.
