Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre

Place is a joke. Always inaccurate hours of times opening and closed when they say open. I’m sick of driving my son to the only indoor court on the Gold Coast in 40 degree weather. It’s 2024 I shouldn’t have to call up to find out whether you’re open. Stop charging kids to play ball. Greedy council. I’m disgusted at the lengths you have the go to just to play indoor.
I’ve been rejected at the door more than once when it says open and no events are running. It says open and event tomorrow but it’s closed? Terrible service and you’ve got two people at the door who frankly haven’t ever seen a day of sport in their lives

Visited this Sports Centre for my kid’s Australian Volleyball Schools Cup event. Great place to play volleyball, thousands of students were playing at this sports centre. It’s spacious, clean and offers nice food. Most likely Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympics, some games will be hosted here. Also a big plus that EV chargers available at this place, however, more CCS 2 chargers needed for Tesla. Many EV vehicles (Tesla, BYD, Porsche) waiting for single EV charger…

Great facilities, lots of parking, and great organization of the GC national gymnastics clubs

Great sport facilities. Two giant halls which can be converted to multiple indoor courts to serve different purposes. There are multiple cafes inside which provide an option for a light meal.

Plenty of park spaces available but terrible public transport support. For a sports centre which can host up to thousands of people there are only buses nearby and the closest stops, depending on the direction of travel are 750m and 500m away. I get it that this facility is underused most of the time but I would argue it's an indirect result of having to drive.

I loved playing basketball and volleyball here with friends. The booking system is easy to understand and the service at the centre is very kind and helpful. The court condition is always pristine.

Great for major events such as international futsal competition. Cafe open during busy periods. Lots of court space but not much seating. Air Flow on a hot day can be limited.

This was a great place for a volleyball comp. Lots of parking and well maintained. Volunteers were very helpful. It was a great place

There for U18 state championship event. Beautiful stadium - 2 halls abt 15 - 20 courts. Easy to access of main Nerang - Broadbeach Rd. Easy access plenty of parking- great facilities.

Had an event here and it was nice. Besides the bottle refill station being only at the front. Would help if the installed one inside the basketball court area for easier access.

Good facility and parking for sporting events. Nice choice of food places. Would love some more comfortable seating when waiting for long periods of time for kids sporting events to start.

Clean facilities, looked after by protective services due to being a government building.
Air-conditioned, plenty of toilets, great coffee at the Cafe, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable.
The basketball courts are clean, nets are in good condition, well lit, I believe there is 15 courts.
Can not fault this centre at all!

There were a few events on at the same time and they don't have the capacity for them to run smoothly. The car park was full and the exit was blocked with traffic cones so lots of cars were driving around looking for a park or a way out and it was chaos. After the event we were stuck in carpark traffic for 21 minutes before we reached the exit.
The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for how long the wait was to get in.
Waited 35 minutes for a coffee.
Audio worked well.

Came here for a cheer competition - very nice venue with plentiful parking. Location was easy to find. Nice competition venue too, spacious and bright!

Always a good venue to attend plenty of parking and good cafe, but really need to turn on aircon as it always gets stuffy!

My daughters school had a 3day volleyball tournament here. Place was beautiful, clean and tidy. Outdoor area and indoor areas were lovely. Toilets were clean. Very nice place to visirt
