My husband and I were in desperate need for rose petals to do a nice photoshoot of our honeymoon and a lovely gentleman today helped us mixing two colours and was so sweet to give us a discount while we were celebrating. Disappointing customer service. Was out on delivery when I visited store. Phoned and spoke to person who would be back in 20mins and would call me to say he was.
I was after 4 simple helium balloons to release as a family in honor of my late stepson's birthday.
Got to COB and no call, no response to my message either. It's the only location in surfers paradise/cavill that had flowers/balloons.

Cannot recommend Gold Coast City Florist enough! Just got the most beautiful bunch of flowers for my mother in law for Mother’s Day. Super friendly service and the quality of their bouquets is amazing! So so happy!

We ordered flowers on Saturday 8/4 for a Sunday 9/4 delivery. Unfortunately our flowers were not delivered until Monday 10/4. When we contacted the company we were told the florist was closed on Sunday. This was not made clear at any point during the ordering process. It only stated that weekends and public holiday orders placed after 11am will be delivered the next day - which we thought we fit into this category. This is a disappointing experience as they were birthday flowers so it would have been nice they received them on the actual day.

Such a lovely small business! Really friendly staff. I got to pick up a lovely bouquet of flowers for my sister who just had a baby girl. The bouquet was pink and beautiful! I went in with my niece, last minute and the lovely gentleman put it together for me on the spot. He was so kind to my little niece also, giving her a flower. My mistake was using this business, ordered birthday flowers for my wife early this morning, requested if they could be delivered at 10 am, sent an email at 8: 56am asking if delivery time could be confirmed " i wouldn't have thought that was not a lot to ask " i didn't get any reply to that email even though they say to contact them through the email i call at 10: 12 am to enquire, i was met with a male person immediately got on the defensive, was rude, and hung up in my ear, extremely unprofessional, childish behaviour, the delivery destination is 10 minutes away, rather than go down that path, he could of said " i am very busy I'll try and get there " or maybe even ask where it needed to get delivered to, neither just immediately rude from the word go, I've worked in customer service for over 20 years, for private / government/ public sectors, and i have to say this was one of the worst businesses and person i have dealt with, never again.

Our 17yo daughter ordered flowers for her friends birthday. Living in Sydney she wasn’t quite familiar with the “Gold Coast” boundaries for delivery. The delivery suburb was Yamanto. She entered the address, placed order and paid money receiving an order acceptance by return. Very quickly the business contacted her to advise they don’t deliver to the suburb requested. Alternatives offered were for her or a courier to collect at additional cost, dried arrangement, or store credit. Our daughter accepted the credit not thinking there was any alternatives. In attempting my own purchase to validate the situation, I chose a Sunshine Coast address which allowed me to the payment screen and a Perth address which stopped me. Presuming then that the system is using postcodes as a way to verify delivery and I feel the business has a responsibility to tighten that up so as not to have this happen again.

The refund policy clearly states that there are no refunds due to perishable nature of goods, but in this instance you wouldn’t have commenced work on the flowers and there is no cost to you.

The policy goes on to say all other refunds will be less 6% which is reasonable.

The company may have followed its policy, but it’s loose definition of GC delivery, further limited to a 20km radius is deceiving for out of town people. In this instance, the ethical, right thing to do for a young customer would be to refund her the money. Rather, you sold a young girl a store voucher for products that can’t be delivered to anyone she knows. Its shameful. Feel free to reconsider your actions.

I've used these guys several times and have always found their flowers to be of the highest quality, at reasonable prices with really good service. This is a couple-run business and they do go out of their way to do special deliveries when, and if, they can - which they did for us today at short notice which was just awesome! Thank you. I'll be back.

First of all, the man who picked up the phone was rude and abrupt. We have paid for more than $130, of which we have paid extra for same day delivery. We then contacted you to seek an approximate timing of when the flowers would be delivered - you said “around 8am - 5pm”…righto mate. Then we have provided you with our contact details to see whether you could give us a buzz prior to coming so we could be there, you refused. Then your bubble head had the audacity to say that it’ll be extra if there’s no one there to collect the flowers.

You’re a florist company who shouldn’t be getting any business, you’re very lucky that you were talking to a gentle elderly lady - or we would have given you what you deserved.

#do not visit ever again.

Thank you for your prompt response - It is our personal interpretation that we have been discriminated against, as the man on the phone was very rude and abrupt - and most of your reviews have been adequate without concerns regarding customer service. Thus potential discrimination is deduced from the unpleasant conversation. Again, that is our opinion - ultra-keen future customers could more than certainly try calling like we did and see what they think.
