Go Ride a Wave - Noosa

Had an amazing lesson with Valentin! He was so helpful and clear with his instructions, was able to stand up and ride the waves a lot sooner than I would have expected which was awesome! Would recommend a lesson with Valentin for anyone interested in learning to surf!

Had an amazing experience with these guys. We had signed up for a 2 hour intro session for our kids. The instructor was watchful, and very patient. Esp with my younger one who is 10

I have never surfed before and this was the best experience I could have imagined for my first time! Hannah was a fantastic instructor and so incredibly patient with helping me the entire lesson. The two hour lesson was perfect for a beginner and it was nice having a smaller group to get to know each other and have enough 1: 1 time with the instructor. I can't recommend this course and instructor enough!

Hands down the best experience our son has ever had at Noosa! His surfing has improved thanks to the guidance and encouragement he received from the genuinely, friendly and knowledgeable coaching staff! Well worth the experience!

Today was my first time on a surfboard. We were looking forward to it. The instructors were professional surfers and very knowledgeable about the ocean. However, teaching skills were lacking. We could’t hear any of the instructions, it was too noisy on the beach. The first half hour was a bit hopeless in the water. The instructors did not provide proper guidance. The closing was also disappointing, they don't give any advice on a next step with surfing.

Amazing surf school! My partner and I did 2 lessons with this crew and had an absolute blast. I can get very nervous in the surf, but they helped me feel very safe and comfortable. As someone with no surfing experience, I was able to stand up and ride the wave in many times during these 2 lessons. I can see why surfing is so addictive!
Highly recommend doing lessons with Go Ride A Wave. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Noosa!

Actually we didn‘t want to leave a negative review, but we are still so disappointed about the lesson we had with the female instructor that we figured that we had to give some feedback. She seemed very unmotivated from the beginning constantly telling that she is so tired and needs a nap. Apart from that the lesson lacked instructions and proper guidance. All she basically did was standing in the water and watching us - there was no instructions at all. Practicing by ourselves would have been the same experience. The negative highlight was when she got her own surfboard and surfed next to us enjoying herself. We had another surf lesson with another company and it was like night and day in comparison to the experience we had with Go Ride A Wave Noosa. We are both kitesurf instructors and therefore know what is like to give a proper lesson to someone who is keen to learn the sports. At least the instructor was friendly - however, the money we spent was thrown down the drain plus we were very frustrated after the lesson and still are.

The best experience to do in Noosa simply Because of the instructors. Perfect approach for any beginner. Go catch that wave in Noosa!

It was great fun learning to surf in Noosa even under grey skies and light rain. Peter is a superb instructor, giving off good vibes, clear direction and positive reinforcement. Loved the added info about ocean safety throughout our lesson. Can't wait to get surfing again soon!

The guys from Go Ride a Wave included everyone no matter what their level capability. It was way more fun that I thought it would be and as we were doing 'Beach Olympics' as a team it was a great way to form different connections - it was a blast, highly recommend as a team building exercise and wish we had done it sooner:)
