Gill & Co Timber

Manager and receptionist need a lesson in good customer service. Not prepared to stay open even 5 mins past close time for a small order despite us phoning ahead to say we'll be bang on 4pm. We arrive 3.59 and they've closed the gate already. I explained we'd booked a barge back to the islands and unable to return tomorrow. As a business owner myself and many years experience in retail I know the difference between good and poor customer service. This is an example of the latter. The manager lets down a great team of men who have always been helpful.

Unprofessional Owners, staff I dealt with where great. Owners told me to keep buying from Bunnings after I expressed my disappointment that they closed up on a saturday morning without notice and without contacting me even though i had organised an order for collection on the friday before. No apologies given, quiet the opposite. WOULD NOT RECOMENED. THIS SMALL FAMILY BUSINESS IS FOCUSED ON BEING SMALL.

What a joke! Need to review their health and safety, especially with their staff. All very well having a one way system but when your staff dont even use it correctly.

I had an urgent order for a beam that was required for renovations. I’d stuffed up the logistics of this job and the builder needed this beam the following day. Amanda at Gill and Co went above and beyond to order and secure delivery of this beam the next day! Really impressed and grateful for the excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

I had gill and co order in a particular type of timber for me as it was the look i was going for to go into a hair salon. I had no idea what it was or called but they found and ordered exactly what I wanted. The guys and girls at gill and co were very accommodating and although the timber had a tendency of splitting when it was cut they still offered to cut it to my exact measurements and also stained the timber for me. They also gave me suggestions on how to install the shelves as they are very heavy.
After I had installed the timber shelves the owner came up and had a look himself. He obviously takes pride in his company. Amazing customer service and stoked with the product. Highly recommend gill and co for all your timber needs. Im loyal and won’t go anywhere else!
