Get Wet Surf School

It was so much fun learning how to surf with the Get wet Surf school. Beautiful location, great beach and amazing waves. This Surf school has everything you can wish for. I have never been surfing before, but they explaind everything perfectly, so everyone from our group managed to actually stand up and surf. It was such a good feeling, especially when all the surf instructors cheered with you, gave you tips and took great photos. It was a great atmosphere, everyone was in a good mood and only wanted the best for you. The feeling of riding the waves on the board was indescribable and I cannot wait to surf again.
I can highly recommend this Surf school and in my opinion it is the best surf school in surfers Paradise.

I had the best time at Get Wet surf school. I came by for a beginners’ lesson and ended up upgrading to the three lessons package, which I found well worth it. The school is very flexible about when you get the lessons, and you can give them a call on the day and ask if there are any spots available.

During the three lessons I met four of the instructors all of them are funny, engaging and provide good constructive feedback.

10/10 would come again next time I’m in surfers paradise.

We had a fab time learning to surf, the instructor was patient and great at explaining and made the whole lesson great fun for everyone. He even took loads of pictures, which is a lovely little memory to have. Out of all the schools I’ve been to this is by far my favourite, I definitely recommend:)

We were at wet surf on 10.09.23 and had a fun time on a first surf lesson with a 22 people group. The trainers helped us to catch waves, provided good equipment like wetsuites and soft boards as well as a theoretic instruction. With that teaching I was able to stand my first wave. Thank you!

What this store told me was: not everyone is fit to surf, you are too skinny!
Absolutely don't come to such a place that discriminates against the body of Asian girls! !
Bad experience……. My instructor is a young man, I don't want to say this, but he is really not helping and irresponsible… today is very windy, and the wave is big, I couldn't hold the surfboard so I have been pushed by the wind and wave spinning there, I spent all of my power holding the board, I couldn't enjoy the surf at all, I have to go rest many times. Other two instructors are helping my friends to hold the board, I was the only one drag that heavy thing all time alone. I'm really upset today.

Had a brilliant time surfing on the last day of our holiday. The staff were friendly and gave great guidance. We all managed to catch waves and get up on our boards. Awesome morning at Surfers Paradise.

It was a lot of fun! I did a 2 hour lesson with Emilio. It was a great day & perfect conditions. Emilio is very friendly and gives you detailed instruction. I definitely recommend you go GET WET. SURF SCHOOL!

First of all, I’ve booked the lesson through Go Vertical just two days prior so there were a few last-minute requests however Kerri and other members of the team handled them professionally and the communication was very prompt.
Surf lesson - We went through the basics (parts of the board, body positioning/stance, surfing safety, etc) with Matt on land and he provided a very clear and concise explanation for beginners. And Jason, our instructor in water, was the most encouraging and supportive instructor I’ve ever had. He seemed genuinely happy and excited about every little improvement I made. He also gave me a lot of useful tips and feedbacks. I eventually managed to catch some waves by myself and stand up for a few seconds on the first lesson!
My partner and I enjoyed every moment of the surf lesson, thanks to the friendly, approachable and supportive staffs at Get Wet Surf School. Unfortunately we are leaving Gold Coast in two days so we wouldn’t be able to book another session this time, but we will definitely return next time we visit Gold Coast. Highly recommend

Get Wet Surf School ticks all the boxes! Yes, we may be biased. But we went and did the 13+ beginner lesson and were so impressed by the friendly and helpful staff, plus the fact that we learned the technique and skills of surfing even catching a few waves!

I recently took a surfing lesson at this school and I have to say, I’ve never felt more like a graceful dolphin in my life! The instructors were super chill and patient with my constant wipeouts, they even gave me some helpful tips on how to avoid swallowing half the ocean. Before I thought ‘hang ten’ was just a weird hand gesture, but now I can actually do it on a board!

Jason’s ‘dad jokes’ are awesome, although I think he has a thing for ‘chicken wings’. Matt is your typical surfy legend. Kilanni (think that’s his name) we share Dutch heritage so I have to love him and Monica is obviously the glue that holds the place together. Awesome team, awesome school, highly recommend! 5 stars all the way.

I went for my first surf lesson and it was great. Really friendly and helpful instructors who made it a really enjoyable time. They take photos which you can access online which was great. And the pick-up bus service to get there and back was really helpful. Definitely recommend

Great experience for my kid have so fun in the introduction surfer lesson in the first time in surfing. Wave is a little bit challenging but he had fun time. The instructors are so kind and professional to teach kids from basic of surfer. Thank you so much.

What more can we say? An amazing half day with us two armatures who did our first surfing ever. Emilio and Darren are great teachers and really drives their participants to try and try again. Almost half the course in the water which is more then many other organisations we've seen along the beaches!

Surfing with the instructors at Get Wet Surf School was so much fun! All of the guides were very helpful and easy to learn from. This was my first experience surfing and I did a lot better than I thought I would. Would definitely do this again!

Great lesson with Jason and Milo! They were super patient and let us try our catching waves on our own as well. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn how to surf
