Geebung Tip Shop reviews
20I love the idea of this shop! The furniture is over priced. Although, we picked up some new trainers for $20.
Scarce selection, grim faced workers with automaton personalities. The real treasure was discovering I could leave at any time and then doing so. Worst of the op shops in this area imo
The prices are generally pretty good, not always. The staff however are always very friendly.
There’s street parking and geebung station is quite close for travel.
Great concept. Items rescued at council tips, sorted & set out for resale at a tip shop. Interested to know where the money people spend onsite ends up, considering council fees, rates etc continue to rise.
Very large op shop. Parking is all street parking but seeing as the shop only operates on a sat & sun I had no issue getting parking very close by.
Considering the size if you aren't looking for specific items & just having a wander/ gander, give yourself time here.
There is lots catered for, more home/ useful items as opposed to clothing dominating the space as you might find in suburban op shops.
There were a few sections, when I visited that were rather cluttered but I imagine that depends on what comes in from the tip on a weekly basis.
Pricing was definitely all over the place
One of The Best Op Shops in Brisvegas!
Friendly Staff! Awesome Prices & I MEAN AWESOME PRICES!
We absolutely LOVE ️ spending an hour or so here every week seeing what bargains we can unearth! And hangingbout with the sensational Friendly Helpful Staff!
Absolutely amazing if you're here to thrift for reasonable prices! Unfortunately the majority of op-shops nowadays are barely even cheaper than buying new, but this place was a fantastic breath of fresh air.i'm talking beautiful armchairs and couch sets for $20, $50 just as an example.not much here in terms of clothes, but absolutely the place for furniture, cookware, sports, etc.lady at the register was lovely, too!
Best place to get a bargain. Decent prices. Friendly staff. I go here ALL the time. I will always go here rather than Vinnies
Geebung Treasure Trove full of bargains.hundreds of DVD movies are only $1 @. 6 drawer real wooden clothes chest $55.
You can find decent stuff here. The turnover isn't always great and some things linger for a while but there is always new stuff each week to look through.
This place is great! Good for furniture like couches and dining tables and chairs but plenty of other trinkets and stuff. If you're after your next project it's a great place to get bits and pieces of inspiration!
Not that happy with my last visit (Feb 2021). Most of tge second hand books have been removed and there was a lot of stuff that should probably have stayed at the dump.
Bargains galore like kitchen and dining ware timber furniture, golf clubs, bikes, toys, DVD'S bric a brac all very cheap with lots of choice.
Great Shop! Very well-priced, wide range of quality items! Shame it is only open Saturday and Sunday. Also no delivery service and no holds on items is very difficult for those who don't own/have easy access to a ute or van - it wouldn't be too hard to organise a delivery van that does deliveries within a small radius or allow holds so people can hire a van/ute.
Wonderful friendly helpful team members, ever changing so every trip there’s something different.
This shop is amazing and well worth visiting. Plenty of useful items as well as lots of vintage.
Really cheap, great range of furniture and nice obliging staff. The price of books fluctuates on a weekly basis, 10cents to 50cents to $1. Up and down. Pricing comes from above.staff say they have no say in it. Who knows. Maybe they have a soothsayer on the books.
Amazingly dirt cheap prices - 10 books for a dollar, dining chairs for $2. Neat and well-kept, with everything categorised nicely and displayed enticingly - paintings, furniture, crockery, music collection, knick-knacks, literature. Friendly staff. Don't forget the showroom around the staff counter!
Absolutely the best place for good quality bargains. They can't help with delivery so if you like something be ready to find someone off Gumtree or similar to help you deliver. They also can't hold items. I was shopping for sofas and they have so many more options than lifeline and for a fraction of the price compared to Lifeline and other op shops. It's nice and airy as well and was remarkably cool for a 30 degree plus day in January. Staff are really friendly.
I go every week love the shop great staff very pleasant and helpful and friendly it makes my day great
Really friendly and helpful staff. Heaps of treasures to find at really reasonable prices. Just be there early!
