Funkateers: Pizzeria & Craft Beer reviews
48We're regulars for Funkateers pizza, and can't help coming back. It's so good! Definitely try the Gorgonzola and pear pizza, it's a winner!
Good little Gem hidden amongst residential areas that accommodate families. Fantastic for families with toddlers, teenagers were bored and needed more gaming equipment (pinball machines) for the older kids' entertainment. Otherwise, food was delicious and a good range of drinks.
Great little venue with a fun indoor area for the kids.
Pizza's are always stacked with toppings andany great options to choose from. Vegan and carnivore friendly.
Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this pizza place. The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely fabulous. You can dine inside or outside. They are licensed which made the experience even more fun with a few drinks. Will definitely be going back again and referring them to family and friends.
Fabulous place! Pizza was simply the best I’ve ever had I was so surprised! 10/10 to die for. Water. Cold and refreshing after that delightful pizza was wolfed down in about 2.5 seconds! Chips were salty and took me to heaven and dipped in the creamy luscious aioli - Jesus take me now! Perfect finger licking quality. Service was immaculate! 100 % recommend not kidding the pizza! Oh the pizza so good I could make glorious houses in those air bubbles in the crust complete with a bathroom. I would commit murder just for another taste of that pizza.
Ran out of Tonic for the Gin, ran out of clean Schooner Glasses, ran out of Ice-cream Cones. We paid for the Beer at the counter, took about 15 minutes before we got them.
People coming back to the store as they got the Pizza. Not a good night at all.
Lucky the pizza were good.
Pizza is way better than mass produced chains, there are yummier options out there. You cannot beat funkateers for the playground in the dining area for families with young kids. It's not a huge playground, but enough so they're not bored at the table.
Interesting pizzas with great veg options. Pretty cool joint but haven't had the pleasure of dine in yet ;)
Told 45 min wait on phone - arrived at 45 minutes and told will be ready in 15mins, now it’s been 30 and still not ready. Live almost 50 minutes away so quite frustrating
Edit: was a 1 star due to above, but then when old mate came out to give me my pizza he placed his hand on his heart and apologised. I also didn’t realise till I got home but he upgraded one of the pizzas - I didn’t complain either so it was nice they did that on their own accord which shows genuinity
So much better under the new management. Staff are happier. Sweeter lighter vibe. Still awesome pizza, and delicious gelato. We love the kid-friendliness. I would definitely recommend this place to pizza loving families.
I ordered a takeaway kids pizza and they refused to take the order because they don't accept orders below $30. Very rude and unacceptable!
Funky and colourful place, tucked in a quiet little suburban street. Friendly efficient staff. Delicious pizza with great flavours, and selection of sizes. We had the medium BBQ chicken and it was loaded on a crispy base that didn't get soggy with so much juicy ingredients. We did a large size with 50/50 of Vegetarian, and Pulled beef and bacon, fantastic. Plenty for the 3 of us.
They have beer and wine, plus there was even live guitarist on the Friday night.
Great pizza but pointless ordering over the phone. It's like the staff move closer to the music so they can't hear you. Almost didn't order online after calling 3 times
Warm welcome and funky love all the wall artwork food was delish especially the chicken wings everything was fresh and yum. My sister and I enjoyed our lunch date while our toddlers played. Definitely coming back for the friday night live music and a gin! Do yourself and favour and come and have lunch here and a sneaky wine while the toddlers play!
Great place for the kids with the playground out the back.
Also awesome selection of craft beers.
Great atmosphere! The Pizzas are brilliant and the drinks selection is boutique craft beers and wine!
Always looking for family friendly resturants as its difficult to enjoy a meal out with an energtic toddler. This place is perfect. My sister and I finaly got to enjoy a nice lunch with our boys. We sat right beside the kids playground and we could watch the boys and enjoy the food with ease. Pizza was fresh, hot and tasty. The chicken wings are delicious. Definitly will go back again. The owner and staff are super friendly making you feel welcome. The funky artwork and music creates a fun and memorable time.
Will be recommending this place to all my friends.
Still a great place. Quiet location with lots of parking. Very kid friendly. Including a kids playground. Colouring in provided. Great pizza. Huge selection of beer. Great ice-cream range too. Recommended. Support small local business.
We’ve been eating at Funkateers regularly since it opened. It’s recently changed hands and the new owners are doing a great job. I ordered a pizza last week and completely miscalculated my pick up time. I called half an hour after I was supposed to pick it up and asked for it to not be thrown out- I was on my way! By the time I got there the owner was pulling out a fresh pizza from the oven for me, he’d been so kind to make my pizza again so I could have a fresh one. He didn’t need to do that, but I was so grateful that he did!
Awesome pizza, lovely staff, chill environment.
What more could you want from a local pizza shop?
