What an amazing experience. Took our Qld grandkids out for some quality time hoping that they would enjoy and remember. Freak delivered big time. The only staff member couldn't have been more engaging and helpful. Initially we thought the zombie experience would be the way to go, however with guidance and grandson input we opted for the ghost experience. Our Grandsons loved it along with their grandfather. Great fun. Wonderful memories.

We had the best night out at Freak VR! I highly recommend getting in touch with the friendly team who will go above and beyond to ensure a great experience! Truly one of the best VR experiences I’ve ever done. The impact vests that respond to getting hit in the game were fantastic.
Isaac was incredibly helpful and we will definitely be back there for a VR escape room soon.

Outstanding, met the friendliest manager ever, who focused on us having a great time and excelled doing it. Would definitely go again and again, simply amazing.

Anytime my partner and I go to GC we don't do anythying but Freak! This is such an awesome place to play something new and exciting. The weekday deals are tighhtt and I will definitely be coming back as much as I can: D

Great place to zone out for an hour! Affordable and that bloke Stephen that works there will literally do anything to make sure you walk out with positive feedback!

My boyfriend and I had the most incredible time at Freak, Surfers Paradise today. The VR and haptic feedback suits are incredible and really immersed in the story and radiated the stakes which increased our enjoyment. A special thank you to the attendant Issac for all your help on the day. He was incredibly knowledgeable and understanding, calmly walking us through everything and was the nicest, most friendly person we saw all day. This is truly a great experience and staff like Isacc make a fun day, an unforgettable experience!

I highly recommend this place! One of the best family friendly entertainments on the Gold Coast and Isaac is just Fantastic! We had a blast with our 2 kids aged 11 and 14. Will definitely be back for more VR.

We highly recommend FREAK, we had a go on lots of the games, Ghost Hunter (whatever that’s actually called), which was great for all of us including our just turned 7 year old, we did the Zombie one, that was pretty cool, but a bit more for one that won’t scare as easy, then we did laser tag, that was surprising good, I was especially surprised how well you could play in what looked to be such a small area, then the girls had a go at the dancing one, they enjoyed that too, and I finished off with some laps around Spa in the motion race sim. Total we spent about 3 hours there over 2 days. The customer service was top notch, Stephen & Isaac really looked after us, we’ll definitely be back if we get the opportunity.

I’ve been to many VR places over the years and usually the biggest difference between places is the customer service.

I was very lucky to come in when Steven was working, who made sure our experience there was outstanding. Excellent service, great conversation, and you can really tell Steven just wants to see people have fun on VR.

The facility itself is excellent - the car simulators are the best I’ve seen, while the VR rooms have everything you need.

Steven was happy to answer any and all questions we had, engaged in our curiosities and ultimately we walked out amazed by how good the experience was.

Thank you again Steve, this was the highlight of our trip up to Surfers Paradise!

Highly recommended. Our entire family went to try VR for the first time. We have two mobility impaired children - so we were a bit unsure as to how VR would work out for them. However, Isaac and his team were exceptional in providing assistance and giving their recommendations as to what would work best for our family. We ended up doing a VR escape room and had the best time!

Service: as noted above, really exceptional. Their friendliness and helpfulness really gave us a fantastic experience.

Price: extremely worth it. The Freak VR team really looked after us in this area, customising a package for us just to suit our unique needs.

Equipment: top notch. They use the latest Vive headsets which were fully untethered - meaning that you were not restricted in movement at all. Also, the streaming quality was amazing - you would not be able to tell the difference from a tethered headset. Halfway through the session I gave it a quick test, and could not notice any lag at all. Absolutely brilliant.

Again, I would highly recommend Freak VR (especially if you're a gamer or into escape rooms - so many options and games to try out). One of the highlights of our holiday!

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to with this one. I can’t believe this experience! It was a last minute decision while walking past the store. Money well spent. The man there had great customer service, very helpful and knowledgeable. (Also very very patient with my eager eight year old.)

Huge shout out to the boys from FREAK! They went far and beyond with customer service to make sure we had an awesome night and we sure did! Affordable prices, high quality service and such a fun time. So many varieties of games to play, so many activities! Well worth the time and money! Thanks guys for making my night!

Amazing experience! The Arizona game (zombie one) was very good fun, never tried VR before but would definitely go again, big thanks to Tom was very impressed with my time here!

Issac is awesome he is someone you want at the front of your busniess, and you can tell he loves his job and very helpful and friendly, even funny, top bloke that made the experience so much better.
I didn't realise how much it would of been. I went last Friday with my Uncle, Mum, and cousin and what a memorable experience we will share.

Worth every cent, thank you Issac. Definitely will come back soon exspecially with Issac customer service.

Went to do one of the sessions with my boyfriend on his birthday. The hosts there were amazing & went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. Will definitely return again & recommend to anyone thinking about going!
