I bought a holiday house about 12 months ago in Forrest beach, and i think I've found the best fish and chips in North Queensland.
Fast & friendly service. The fish was delicious & perfectly cooked with NO extra overcooked batter attached. The crunch was reserved for the chips! Well seasoned & up with the best chips I've ever had!
Had takeaway fish Spanish Mackerel and potato cakes top knotch well cooked moist and delicious. Staff were friendly and they were busy but we had prompt service.
Fast, efficient, and friendly service. Excellent fish and chips. We took ours to the beach front picnic tables!
Got myself a caeser wrap & some chips. Bloody delicious. Those chips were literally perfection.
Went on a four day ateventure to try the fish n' chip shops in the area. Decided to finish up at Forrest Beach takeaway. Had a good feeling once I walked in and saw the menu board and decor. Knew I was in for a good feed.
Got the fishermen's feast. It was the perfect meal for someone like me who can never decide. Basically, it's got a bit of everything in it for you to try. I'm never a fan of seafood sticks, but it was passable. Everything else was top notch. I definitely appreciate the fact that they make it all fresh, even the battering was done right before the deep-fry.
After trying all the fish n' chip takeaways around Hinchinbrook. I definitely think this is the best of the rest.
Family all enjoyed the food. Steak burger with the lot was huge and tasty, same with the beach (chicken) burger. Beat chips I've had in a while. Was a little on the pricey side
Absoulety beautiful. Great service and food. Couldn't eat the whole meal for lunch, so scored dinner as well. Fish and chips and scallops were A1. Do yourself a favour and grab a meal there. You won't regret it
Bought a beach burger and half scoop of chips to share with my bestie. They cut the burger in half for us. It was huge! We had plenty of leftover chippies. Great value and delicious. The customer service was top notch.
Great friendly staff and excellent food, I have fish n chips, bacon & egg roll and roast pork dinner. All were wonderful
If you want the best potato scallops, this is the place to go.

Visited today 7th October 2021 to Reggies Takeaway. The Best Fish and Chips ever. Worth the time to turn off from the main highway at Ingham, the beach is superb as well. We had the battered fish and crunchy chips with chicken salt and took them down to the beach. Another couple at our table said the same as us. Wish we were staying at this beautiful spot so we could try their other dishes like the Ginger Chilli Prawns or Squid with Coconut Rice. Thanks Reggie, we'll be back.
