Flaxton Gardens reviews
72The breakfasts at Flaxtons are an ideal Sunday treat- just perfect. Two of our party ordered a brunch bun to share (it’s enormous!) and they didn’t just get given a second plate- they got two half buns, each beautifully presented. Made our morning. The staff are amazing, the views are breathtaking, and they have parking!
I'm giving this 4 stars for the great service and magnificent views! The food was a bit lacklustre though. I had a tamarind beef salad with lychees (kinda odd I have to say), which was a wee bit sad, and the texture was as though it had sat in the fridge for a couple of days. Hubby had a beef and bacon burger with fries, and he loved his meal. My rose was very sweet (they had warned me) but nicely cold and refreshing, and he drank ginger beer. Staff were very pleasant and efficient (they brought the payment machine to our table), and oh yes, they seemed to change the nice white tablecloths for each lot of customers. Wonderful!
High Tea for my daughter's day time Hen's event. Beautiful food. Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere.
Being one of the closest neighbours to Flaxton Gardens.a resident/property owner for over 20 years.and I don't even get notified of a recent fireworks display. Firework's laws require that any adjoining property within 200m is notified of an upcoming fireworks event. I am 50m away and NO notification. As a result of not being notified.my beloved 18 year old cat Mia (who I have owned since an 8 week old kitten and who was TERRIFIED of fireworks.and thunder). Was outside at the time the fireworks began and in her terror she ran onto the road and was run over and killed by a passing car (I don't blame the inconsolable driver in any way.she was not to know Mia would run in front of her car from her fear of the fireworks). The responsibility of my tragic loss rests solely with the Owner/Management of Flaxton Gardens. When I bought my property in 2001 I looked forward to living in a quiet rural residential environment. This dream has been destroyed by the operations at Flaxton Gardens (beginning in around 2009). Being late night hooligan displays resembling drag races.helicopters landing/taking off.drunken and LOUD patrons walking past my house at all hours.fireworks displays.early morning 'gardening and lawn mowing'. From comments posted by other close residents it is apparent my concerns regarding our loss of quality of life and theTOTAL disregard of this by the owner of Flaxton Gardens are not isolated. For anyone considering booking a function at this venue.please consider you are supporting the erosion of the quality of life from the closeby property owners who were here enjoying a peaceful lifestyle before Flaxton Gardens existed. Google 'model sues chef' for more insight.
Great venue for weddings and events with a great panoramic view.
High tea was a bit overpriced for the food quality. I was expecting more tea variety as well.
We are so incredibly grateful to Alicia, Joe and the team. You made our wedding unforgettable. Everything ran so smoothly and we felt your love and passion for creating memories. We cannot recommend Flaxton Gardens enough. All our guests raved about the venue, food and service. It was outstanding and we will never forget our special day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts- Mr and Mrs Ind
Very comfortable place I was there for a wedding they done well. It needs a clean up a few walls on the mould side other then that great views.
Venue Flaxton Gardens Sunshine Coast was beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The whole evening had a great atmosphere, and the orchestra played beautifully, a tribute to the band Queen. It was a wonderful evening.
This has become our favourite restaurant. Always, there is a warm natural friendly greeting and a nice chat to be had throughout your stay. The atmosphere is not just about the view, it's made so nicely by the staff. We were there again today and I said, "Perhaps chef should retire while he's ahead, as we don't know how he is going to top this set menu. " But, every time we go there he does. See you again soon team, and thankyou for a lovely time and a fabulous meal.
Fabulous Flaxton Gardens, food exellent, a real occasion, service good. Location to die for, beautiful setting.
Could not thank Alicia and Joe and the team from Flaxton Gardens for making our wedding so special. You went above and beyond and i cannot thank you all enough. Thank you from Sarah and Stephen Brown. Highly recommend flaxton gardens for an amazing wedding.
Flaxton gardens has great food and an amazing views. Most of the staff have great attitudes but the manager is very rude and disrespectful. He was very grumpy aswell and didn’t have a good attitude
We called in to see Sculpture on the Edge and the menu was so enticing that we changed our original lunch plans and ate there instead.
It was a smart move and food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The staff were charming, helpful and attentive.
Great views topped it all off beautifully.
Beautiful location and superb service. Allen and his team have this place humming as one of the best venues on the Sunshine Coast.
Only went to see the sculpture exhibition but decide to stay for their picnic lunchboxes - they are awesome! Normal prices but terrific food in a beautiful setting! AAA
Flaxton Gardens were an absolutely incredible wedding venue - if I could give them 10 stars I would! We recently had our wedding at Flaxton and the staff were so accommodating, friendly, efficient and wonderful to work with. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our guests, vendors, family members and ourselves included - have constantly raved about how incredibly special Flaxton made our wedding day. The food was excellent and the service throughout the day and night was impeccable. If you are looking to have a wedding in the hinterland, I cannot recommend Flaxton Gardens enough.
Beautiful location, great service, food was amazing. Need to have more than 1 shared toilet inside
Rude owner doesn't respect neighbours. Owner running noisy tools outside from 6: 30am. When told he can be heard 4 house over, waking kids, etc.and asked politely to respect his neighbours, owner tells me to check the code as it allows him to make noise from 6am (it doesn't) and continues on. Rude and disrespectful.
Thank you to the wonderful staff who worked on 14th August, Jo and his team. I was a celebrant and a first time MC. They were helpful, supportive, friendly and 100% professional. It was a pleasure to work with them. Thank you for making it a wonderful celebration.
Sad reason to be there - RIP Jack, but exceptional service and venue to match. Beautiful place for any occasion!
