FISH n CHIP Delights reviews
57Service was awful. The lady seemed annoyed to serve us. Lots of chips and small thin dry fish fillets.
Fish was dry and had bones in it chips were dry and had too much salt.the sauce was good but we provided it ourselves. Would not return
Been coming here for 3 years and never have I ever had a rude customer. Until now, she kept cutting me off when I was speaking and was speaking to me as if I have done wrong by them. I dont appreciate the help at I was spoken too… please WORK on the way u speak to customers.overall the best fish and chips and lovely lady’s, highly recommended <3
Just bought over 80 worth of fish and chips and salad, feel a bit disappointed fish was dry and chips was horrible. We come here a lot but after our experience tonight I don’t think I’ll be returning
The service there is slow, they don't know what they are doing, they are very rude we sat in car for about 45 minutes to an hour waiting on a scoob of chips.
Terrible! Thought this was going to be a local gem, but turned out bad. Everything seemed overcooked and dry. Batter was a unusual orange colour. Wouldn’t recommend.
I usually go elsewhere close by, but decide to give this place ago. Everytime I drive pass it's busy and it has some great reviews.
Unfortunately the food wasn't good. The staff were very friendly but the food just wasn't something to rave about. I ordered the crumbed barramundi, which I found slimy and the meet darker than usual and didn't have much taste to it.
The scallops were very oily and just way to much batter. The crumbed calamari rings where nice.
Usually with any other fish and chip shop your get lemon. I didn't get lemon or even asked if I want a napkin or knife and fork.
I'm sure it was a one off and I was unlucky. They did have burgers or steak sandwich maybe I'll try that next time and just get my usual from my usual.
The fish was good however the customer service was average at best. The woman offerred fish battered and crumbed only agreeing to grilled after additional prompting. There was a genuine lack of care in taking and delivering the order. Would not recommend.
Always met with a smile and friendly staff. Lunch time can be busy however only waited 20 mins for a beautiful lunch. Will return again as you can walk to the strand to eat there
The serving sizes are still good family feeds but waiting 40 minutes plus for fish n chips is just too long
+ open on new years day
- waited a long time
+ portions are very generous
- food quality was fair
We got fish and chips from here, a few times now, would say they get it right 8 out of 10 times, the 2 times are still good but not as good as the other 8 times.
Excellent food, great customer service. Sometimes they are short staffed. Our first visit had only one staff member onsite to handles all the orders and customer service. This led to an extremely long wait time.
Our second visit was much better. They had 4 staff and our wait time was much more reasonable.
We visited for the gluten-free options, which were fantastic. Very generous sauce containers. Definitely recommend.
I brought the barra meal set today which cost $17.
Freshly Battered fish was cooked to perfection! I received calamari instead of the usual potato scallop as it was out of stock.
The calamari (3 - 4 piece) was good but it had a little fishy smell tho.
The chip was lightly seasoned with salt. In my opinion, the portion for the chips is too generous for one. The portion for the chips can be shared with 2 to 3 people.
Suggestion.
Cutting the chips to 1/4 to 1/2 the portion and perhaps having a salad for the other portion would be a great! Having salad after fish and chip would be a great way to end it off.
And yes I’ll definitely come back to buy the fish. Perhaps just the fish as the meal is too big for one.
Some of the best hot chips I've ever had. Delicious. However, the fish and potato cakes were not much good at all - too greasy and batter wasn't great
Go for the chips. Pass on the rest
Awesome friendly sevice battered fish was well cooked yummy batter salt and pepper calamary was perfect will definitely be back for more
This is Australian fish and chips at its best. With really friendly service into the bargain as well. I am so grateful for their gluten free options!
Food is great, Generous servings, Price is fair. $45.50 I got 3 pieces of fish made to your liking, 6 calamari 1scoop of chips and a 1.25L and that fed a family of 5.
Haven't had fish and chips since getting diagnosed with coeliac, that was amazing thank you so much for being so accommodating to GF diets! 10/10 recommend
Some of the best fish and chips we’ve had. Well worth the 40 minute drive in from Bluewater.
