First Choice Liquor Market Newstead reviews
35Affordable drinks, some interesting variety with specials, flybuys, parking, huge range, big cold room, what's not to love?
Quite good selection as expected, but it was expensive in comparison to other first choice stores in the burbs, probably because of the location. GPS wasn't picking up the location of the entry for the parking, but we worked it out.
Prices on the ticket is not what comes up when they scan at the register so keep your eyes open.
Good chain … people really should seek them out as an alternative to the big D. Visited quite a few of their stores the other day to get some Soju stock … every store good experience!

The store has a vast selection of beers, wines, and spirits at competitive prices.friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to find the perfect drink for any occasion. Parking is usually issue on Friday's and Saturdays.
The store is well-organized, and the shelves are neatly stocked, making it easy to find what you're looking for. There is also a good range of special offers and discounts available, making it an excellent choice for those looking to get the most for their money.
Overall, First Choice Liquor in Newstead is a great option for those looking for a wide variety of drinks at reasonable prices. With helpful staff, a well-organized store, and plenty of special offers, it's definitely worth a visit for anyone in the area
Staff very helpful, especially young man on checkout. Starting to believe the company is rivalling D Murphy in range and price.
Get some oat cream IPAs and I'll give you 5 stars other then that amazing selection and great helpful staff
First Choice have some amazing bargains. Some often in store clearances. More reason to call in and check out what's on the shelves. While not having the depth of range of top end wines their competitors do, Leeuwin, Pierro, Taylors St Andrews, Wolf Blass, Wendourie are outstanding.
I shopped at Newstead First Choice today with an elderly friend. The assistant which helped us was amazing. Name was Jak. He advised us in all wine purchases and prices, wheeled our trolley, loaded everything into the car then helped my elderly friend by folding and packing her walker into the car. We were so impressed with him. We will never shop anywhere else but first Choice Newstead for alcohol again. Amazing young man!
Clean, bright, & spacious store. Well stocked even at 7pm Christmas Eve. Hamish was particularly helpful!
Staff were helpful but I was disappointed that a large store like this, close to the Valley, didn't have a single type of Japanese Umeshu/plum wine or Korean Soju/premixes.
I always shop at First Choice Newstead as they have great prices.they have a huge carpark RESERVED for customers. EXTREMELY annoying to go there to find there are NO parks available as they are being used by the apartments next to First Choice.please take this up with your management and get these people towed! Otherwise I will go to Dan Murphys.
I am a regular customer at first choice in Newsread, today they jacked up the price of their wolf blasts Chardonnay from $7 a bottle to $9 a bottle. Their boast of matching their competitors is sounding, like BS as the wine I referred to still sells for $, 7 at Bws.
Easy clean access with plenty of selection. Some taste testing prior to purchase has helped. Also price matching provided Thanks Team!
Appalling service at FC Newstead! Put a click & Collect order last night at 6pm for a carton of beer, never got a sms. The store shuts at 11pm. I decided to drive there in the morning. I advised the shop assistant that I did not receive a text to advise of my click n Collect. When she checked my order, it was not picked yet. The store was literally empty no customer, I could find a park right outside, there is absolutely no service and care. The staff are quite ordinary and you have a sense of too laidback as you stand in the store. This is upmarket Newstead! Not a neglected suburb where you could get what you pay for. NOT VERY IMPRESSED
My favourite spot near to city. Welcoming staff, especially Kirin. Hey dude you doing great. Keep up that smile. Vanities of Whiskys/Beers/Wines.and their amazing offers at the counter. Hidden gem at Newstead, opp BP petrol station.
Ample of parking spots. Huge shopping area.
Definitely recommend this store, as they keep the rates low and with heaps of varieties.
Best bottle shop in Brisbane. Moet & Verve Clicquot are hard to find at most bottle shops like BWS & Dan Murphys but you can still get it at First Choice!
Perfectly located across the road from the servo. I would highly recommend visiting this place if you find yourself in the area.
Great selection and really friendly staff. Wine selection is one of the best around outside of Dan's but often find the deals are actually better here. Staff are great and always helpful.
Every day the beer is sold for a different price what a scam, $ 47 for 12 bottles are you serious!
