First Choice Liquor Market Lutwyche reviews
54 Lots of options available - gold cold room. Plenty of wines well displayed.
Often have wine deals - bins at front.
Lots of car parks - at front & under.
Prices reasonable for large liquid barn
I guess the prices are okay but what’s the point in click n collect when you end up collecting warm beer because they usually store it near the front sales area? Who was the genius that thought that giving customers room temperature beer was a good idea? It’s common sense that if you’re selling beer click n collect that the customer doesn’t want to go home, put the beer in the fridge, and wait. They want a coldie. Congrats on losing a customer because someone was too effing stupid to think things through.
While the staff were pleasant and the location easy to get to I was surprised at the much smaller range than I remember first choice for. It was okay and not anything wrong but not my favourite
Pricing! Well, they’re always going to have great pricing but they’re my favourite place to go for really really good specials & discounts.
Always super friendly, genuine help & advice when looking for something in particular, whether it’s to taste or a brand.
I often get helped by a younger guy & he’s really good & genuine.
Lots of parking, never had an issue.
Asked the cashier to price match and he acted like the difference came out of his own pocket. Smug remarks about driving to the competitor weren't appreciated as I walked out. Made we want to cancel the sale and do just that, but I was pressed for time.
Good range of spirits, beer and wine. Has cocktail equipment and mixers. Only downside is constantly having to chase down an available attendant as all the dark spirits are locked in cases.
Joke of a click and collect system. First I got a text saying you must collect within 5 days. It counted non-business days and so I got a message - just 2 actual business days later - that my order would be cancelled. Then randomly another week later they messaged me and said it was still available so I thought great, I'll go pick it up. But no.as some others have said, if you put another person as the contact (in this case my wife) and then end up going to collect it yourself, they wont give it to you. My name is on the invoice and the credit card for payment. How hard is it to comprehend that the person who did the order or the pickup person may pick it up? Its just really annoying. Wont be going back.
Great selection of beer and good prices which I give 5 stars. Unfortunately the promise of 90 minute delivery on orders is far from good. I placed my order around 3pm for same day delivery, I was then informed that it would be delivered at approximately 4: 50pm, I then received an email at 3: 40pm stating my order had been dispatched.
2 hours after the expected delivery time I had still not received my delivery. I then contacted First Choice and they told me that the delivery was still sitting at the store and had not even been picked up even though I had received an email stating otherwise.
I am dissapointed that they have promised a 90 minute delivery and cannot deliver on this promise. If you cannot deliver on this promise then do not advertise and promote it.
Cant complain about the service.there wasnt any
Circled shop twice looking for staff.one lone very busy girl on check out.even looked out back
In desperation called out if theres any one who works here.
Guy pops out in front of me in a black tee shirt with a discreet badge.
I whinged that they need a more stand out uniform. He asked me in the irritated dimisive tone.what do you want.told dont think youve got what I want anyway. SERVICE.then they played
.
Excellent First Choice and my local.
PS sorry for smashing the mango smash earlier tonight
Unable to access account due to no action from the redo password email system. Called store to place order, was asked what I want and told they would put a box up front. Did not ask for name and hung up.
Worst customer experience ever! Michael Hartwig had disgraceful unhelpful attitude. Ordered over 1500 (incl luxury brands) for a corporate event, all under my name and card info, all emails sent to me however I had nominated an employee to collect. Employee was sick so I had to collect only to be told that they would illegally withhold what had been paid for and I was the technical owner of the goods, as I had nominated a person to collect. Showed all evidence of identification and communication. Refused to assist. This has negatively impacted my corporate event and it’s no thanks to the unhelpful Michael Hartwig. Would not recommend first choice liquor Lutwyche for any corporate or special event. Not to mention I could freely call without producing any ID or personal information and cancel the order and arrange a full refund to a specific card.
Great policy this is.
I will not be coming back and thanks for spending so much time on the wasted order. Now you have to put it back for being senseless.
Also, how about putting your masks on? ! It’s the law.
Always good to find a liquor store that has what you need at the right price.
All the first choice outlets are great where ever I have been they beat bws hands down
Staff not wearing masks properly on the weekend when there is an active public health direction for masks indoors. I left without buying anything. Clearly the staff don’t believe in keeping their customers safe.
Really nice store. Shame the parking on site is dreadful. Too many businesses on site and not enough Parks.
I did the click and collect service. The girl who was at the counter asked me if I looked at the corner where all the orders are placed. I said no and asked back to her if I'm supposed to look for mine at the corner by myself. She said show the ID to staff member and they can find it for you or I can look for it. By the time she has found my order so I couldn't be bothered to find the clear answer about it and just left but it was very weird that she said if I have to look for mine in the corner where the piles of drink boxes are placed for click and collect. Click and collect is meant to be for customers who want to pick up quickly in my understanding. I wouldn't be happy if I have to look for mine in the corner haha. Otherwise, price was good and it was quick to be ready for pick up.
Very rude customer service. We were there for almost half an hour trying to find drinks and no body warned us that they can't process once it reaches 10 O clock. The lady came to us and said "we can't process so you have to put your drinks back and get out" This is the exact words she used and felt very personal, not sure why but could have at least treated us like everyone else.
First choice is a great choice, with plenty to choose from and very good prices and offers.
Sometimes they're too busy.
The staff is very nice and polite.
Click and collect, that's if you can find a carpark and then you got to go in to the store to collect, just to top it off they gave me a hot box of carlsberg, so I will not be back!
A great selection and some interesting specials. Makes a change from the limited selections on offer from Coles Liqouland and Woollies BWS (and even Dan Murphys). They are all thick with stock from sweetheart deals with large bottling companies.
