Ferry Rd Market reviews
42Great place to stop for lunch, coffee, groceries and even a delicious icecream on a hot day.
Your one stop for all necessities to keep your mind, body and soul in tip top condition. From gym to organic ingredients to apparel. This venue scream self-care!
REALLY expensive, very tight parking, very busy. SUPER awkward finding a table to enjoy your bakery/deli/seafood treat (that doesn't have a grumpy cafe clerk or passive-agressive sign).
but hey, there is plenty of fantastic produce at least
Beautiful open-plan market with good natural light.
Fab place to visit while on the Coast. Merlo coffee, awesome chilli, garlic, Sicilian olives, and a stack of delish cheeses.purchased and will definitely enjoy.
Everything here is amazing. Chickens amazing, deli amazing, fruit and veg amazing, bakery amazing, butcher amazing, seafood amazing.
Sometimes you will pay a premium. Worth it? Yes.
Restaurants, coffee, kitchenware shop. Quite good.
Did I mention the chicken? Amazing.
Lots of variety. It is up market so you will pay more for everything. The icecream is great. Bakery has a good variety so does the deli
Fantastic marketplace, fresh produce, brilliant coffee at Merlo. You can choose up to 10 different kind of coffee beans for your coffee. Customer service is friendly as well.
Very modern. There is even a sitting area inside for a quick social or study nook.
Very busy location,
What does that tell you. Will be back again!
Nowhere to sit and rude shop owners! I purchased food from the bakery inside the market and went to the seating area to sit and eat. There are signs everywhere that you can only sit there if you have purchased from that particular retailer. I sat where I thought was general seating and within 30 seconds the seafood shop owner/employee came and told me I wasn’t able to sit there. When I said I had purchased food in the market where do we sit he said anywhere but here. Absolutely discusting treatment and I will never set foot in the complex again. Seriously it shouldn’t matter that I brought from another retailer in the market it’s still the market! I never write reviews however cannot believe this is how they treat people in their precinct. 0 star rating if I could
Great. The best butcher (best lamb chops and veal schnitzels), bakery (best custard tarts and patty cakes), deli, (best olive and charcuterie selection) and veggie and fruit (alway amazing mangoes and greens) shops. Pay a bit more but well worth the quality, freshness and variety. Merlo's coffee staff are very efficient and friendly and the coffee is excellent. The best real custard tarts and patty cakes at the bakery- my favourites! I
Ignoring the Bulky Goods part of the place which is like all of those the food and seafood offering is first class. When looking for something special they have it all. Well done
Place to be seen if wealthy. I just go there for great Merlo decafe beans and sushime tuna. A bit over rated by snobs.
The Best Foodie Mecca in Southport worth the pilgrimage to worship the gourmet delights.
Here you will find a global product for that one dish you can't find anywhere.
Curing cabinets with fine meats and cheeses.
A bakery and deli with pickled goodies, olives from every corner of the world, hand crafted dolmades from a cottage maker in Azerbaijan.
Delicatessen dreams and fantasies live here.
Spices, fresh produce, sashimi that's still wriggling and a Gelateria to hit the sweet spot.
There's seating for freshly prepared food and adjoining the market a wonderful cafe/bar, florist and my personal favourite 'The Source Bulk Foods' for sustainable products like beans and cous cous without the packaging, BYO jars.
Love Merlo Coffee Southport. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, the coffee's excellent, the cakes/snacks are fab. As the Cafe stays open till 6pm, I hope Merlo is capitalising on all the business that comes their way because so many cafe's close too early
Good fresh food, beautifully displayed. Great coffees nice surroundings. If you want to shop, catch up, or just try somwhere new? It's a great place.
Fantastic market! Excellent produce - huge variety and fresh. You pay a little more, but the quality is unparalleled. Staff are friendly and helpful as always - this is a permanent weekend destination for us.
Great coffee, ask for extra hot. Kids chicken risotto too salty but nice truffle salt used. Great service and drink offered as compensation (appreciated but declined), lovely management and staff. Fantastic quality ham in the toastie. Most groceries or seafood at least double cost of Woolies or Coles but pretty special large prawns, bug meat etc.
Have been using this market since opening. Always great quality fruit and vegetables, excellent butcher and fantastic seafood. Never have had any issues over many years of visiting. P.s. The roast chickens from the deli are to die for.
Love shopping at the Brickworks so many speciality shops with great buys and lovely coffee or a quiet wine to celebrate with when you are finished for the day
Staff really needs to improve on their customer service. Staff there are very disrespectful and lacks communication skills- completely ignores you. Managers. Please train your staff. Just completely ruined my day
Fish shop is fantastic, good choice of shops, a butcher, bakery, deli, fruit and veggies, a bit pricey
