Fernwood Women's Gym Chermside

This gym is fine.
Has all the basic equipment you need.

I transferred here from the Carindale Fernwood, and I really don’t understand why I have to pay a few extra dollars each week here when the Carindale gym is newer, has more equipment, more workout zones, bigger rooms, massage chairs, and friendlier staff.

The thing that makes a gym amazing is the staff and Fernwood Chermside certainly has that! The trainers are always safety conscious and accomodating to help each class suit your needs. There are a lot of different classes to choose from, staff are really friendly it’s a great place to train.

The staff are amazing. So friendly, warm and supportive. Gym is always clean. It's never very busy so you can exercise in private. No men hogging all the equipment and making grunting noises, hogging the mirrors. Definitely worth the price to work out in style and comfort. Plenty of showers so you never have to be late for work waiting for a free shower.

Signs you up for spam promo texts just from walking past to get to the car park. May as well just start cold calling. Not interested, never have been.

Continuously hound you with phone calls to join. Literally had over 10 phone calls over several months from here. Agree with the other reviews around this subject.

Just wanna give a big shout out and thankyou to Alanah one of Chermside fernwoods pt's. She taught 3 back to back classes on thur and it was absolutely amazing! I do the 3 back to back classes regularly and can normally do an afternoon training session as well. I am extremely fit, however Alanah is the first trainer to have pushed me to my maximum limit and it felt amazing! It is so great to see trainers helping and caring so we can achieve amazing results! Thankyou!

I followed all the right channels and cancelled my membership with them in January this year and they are STILL taking money out of my account! I have contacted them on numerous occasions to rectify this and it is still not sorted. Very poor customer service and poor communication. I am not the only one this has happened to either!

I've been trying to cancel my gym membership since Easter this Year and to my horror money is still being taken out I've continued to phone and leave messages at theFernwood Gym Chermside with no replies on the Mobile and business number. Not happy.

This gym is fine.
It would be great to have more mirrors for free weights though.

I wish I could give this specific Fernwood gym branch a better rating. I am a huge fan of Fernwood gyms but this branch was truly disappointing. I found this gym to have limited equipment, the bathrooms looked squashed and tired and I just generally feel like this gym is an after thought. It seems like the venue is just not big enough to host a flagship gym.
The Chatswood version or even Lawnton would put this gym to shame. It does not feel like an elite and private women’s club which is a real shame.
If the venue changed I would consider joining but the parking on that level is also a nightmare and it’s just not the right place for this gym in my view.
There is definitely no pool and possibly also no sauna from memory either?

Awesome as gym!:) Friendly staff, amazing services. Such as classes are all included in the price and childcare. Comes at a price, but is great so you can work out not having to worry so much on your children. And as well provided of free breakfast and the use of space to kick back and have a cup of tea:)

Enter a competition once to win a free membership and they use your details to call and hound you relentlessly. Join the gym and become unwell and don't attend and no one cares to check (despite what they tell you during your orientation). Hardly any equipment or trainers on to show you how to use it, most of the staff are just there a receptionists

I feel so happy walking into this gym, the staff are so friendly and happy to help when I need it, the classes are great! I would encourage anyone to join up here:)

Virtual trainer sucks. If I didnt want to train with a real person I'd stay at home and do it from my TV rather than waste my money on a gym. It is despicable to replace peoples jobs with this.

I have never wrote a review, but I felt like I needed to for all those women struggling to find the right gym. I have felt nothing but welcome at this gym. The team are helpful and supportive. Carol (PT) came into work just for my session since my schedule is unpredictable. I can't think of any other place that would do that. Thanks, ladies.
