This is a wonderful place.
The organisers are lovely, you can meet some amazing friends, that you didn't know you needed & the facilities are beautiful, lovely & relaxing.
This organisation chose to discriminate and segregate healthy community members based on vaccine status.
Yarrabilba is a small community and families do not have a lot of opportunities to participate in social skill building opportunities with their young children, the community hub currently has a monopoly on all government funded programs in the area and they further marginalised families who do not drive or were unable to access other play groups, learning, social emotional and parenting educational resources and services.
Play groups, libraries etc were not subject to cruel mandates.
The community place does have a visiting health nurse and according to qld health a parent irrespective of vaccine status were always able to accompany a minor to a medical appointment or during hospitalisation.
There was no justification for the harsh exclusion of Yarrabilba and surrounding parents/grandparents and care givers, nor the social and emotional disadvantage it put children in the community at for a period of six or more months.
This organisation didn't offer temperature checks, rat testing etc. Given that the cvd19 vaccines do not stop transmission or infection, a more humane measure would have been to mitigate risk and check temperature of all people attending the centre, screening for cold or flu symptoms etc
Very disappointed that rather than be inclusive they chose to discriminate and segregate healthy Australians.
Clean, plenty of parking, friendly environment, plenty of things for the family on selected days. Great service
Working at the vaccination clinic, such a lovely friendly group. Nice building at a elevated location above the town
Bit noisy when I went there but nothing that stood out that Is any different from most community centres.
A wonderful place clean and tidy fantastic staff that are very welcoming i highly recommended the Family Place
What an awesome place! First time visiting the place today & it was pretty cool, my kids absolutely loved it. They have a little play area out the back for the kids. A kitchen area for anyone to use, they even do breakfast club in the mornings on certain days! Immunizations if you need saves you going all the way to the doctors not that its far but still if you have no car the community hub its nice & close. The staff are awesome super friendly & attentive.
The family and community hub, is a great place for the kids to enjoy a play and to connect with your neighbours over a cuppa.
