Essential Beauty Chermside

Although every other time this piercing place has been great, today I went in to get my seconds pierced only to get told the piercer is sick without any notice. I don’t want to sound rude but every time I come in to get a piercing so many of them are sick. It’s a shame really but they do provide great service.

Truly the worst customer service I have experienced, I have to leave a review because I spent most of my time there crying. The lady I first spoke was disinterested and dismissive from the start, I was a walk in and was asking if there were any free slots. She took my number and said she would call me at 12, it was 11: 45. I sat outside the store and waited and came inside at 12: 10 to see if maybe my booking had been forgotten. The lady said ‘if we say 12 you need to be in the store at 12, ’ despite me saying she did take my phone number to call me and I had waited outside like she instructed. I was then advised to wait until 2: 30 until another lady said she could try and see me sooner. I then proceeded to wait for another 30 minutes, I stood in the store for most of that time to avoid being forgotten or blamed for not being in the store again. The first lady who was rude to me was going to pierce me and I asked for someone else due to the negative experience I had, I did not feel comfortable with her at all; which was obliged. I was initially told the price would be $89, then $120, then $150. I asked the piercer and she said it would be no more than $150, I tried to ask which jewellery would be in the $120 range, but she didn’t seem sure. I will say during the piercing process the secondary staff member was kind and professional. I was advised to choose a titanium post after the piercing, without being informed it was an upgrade. When I went to pay three staff stood at the register in what seemed like a combative approach to me. The third staff member stated as I had chosen to upgrade to titanium it would cost ‘$154, ’ I merely looked at my piercer and she defensively stated ‘I told you it would be $150, ’ I just paid and left. I was polite, smiled, and cooperative throughout, but I guess that makes no difference to how I’m treated. I usually go to skinkandy, they have always been kind and approachable. Even if this review is tried to be twisted in a different way, or removed I have to say what my experience was. This event truly ruined my day.

Mel was so so lovely and knowledgeable! She made me feel at ease and her placement is perfect! I was so impressed with the whole process. I don’t live in Brisbane, but I will be making the drive for any future piercings with Mel!:)

I discovered essential beauty because I originally went to skinkandy but they were so rude and said I can’t get it there after getting an appointment. So my mum took me to essential beauty to get my belly pierced they were so nice to start with they said to come back I’m 2 and a half hours because that’s when the closest free time ism then when we got into the piercing room the lady I had started explaining what to expect with getting this piercing. Then she went to the placement she was so thorough and made sure it was in the correct spot and that I liked placing, then when piercing she was so quick about it then when done she made sure that I didn’t pass out so she just let me lay down until I was okay, they let your friend/mum/dad whoever in the room with u and the prices are amazing and have such a amazing range of jewellery! Definitely recommend getting it here!

I received a double body piercing plus a double ear curation by Emma. She was absolutely amazing! Emma was professional, knowledgeable and very reassuring throughout the process. Highly recommend her to anyone wanting piercing done!

I just wanted to forward through some feedback after visiting Essential Beauty Chermside today. I had consulted at another chain clinic piercing studio where I didn’t feel comfortable. After leaving, my partner suggested we try Essential Beauty. In all honesty, I hadn’t heard of the company prior so I was a little hesitant.

I went in for a Christina piercing so as you can imagine, I was extremely anxious. The lovely lady (cannot for the life of me remember her name now- I believe it was Mel?) was SO patient, compassionate and kind with me, making me feel as comfortable as I could prior, during and post treatment. She went above and beyond to explain the piercing, postcare and really make sure I was happy to go ahead. I cannot fault my experience at all and I really want to say thankyou to this piercer for being so tolerant during a sensitive time. I would highly recommend Essential Beauty for this reason.
