Dundee’s at the Cairns Aquarium

The portion is large, but the price is not cheap. Most of the seafood platter is fried squid, and the environment is a bit noisy.

Very friendly staff and the atmosphere is great, there is an aquarium in the restaurant, which is of course really cool (even if it is really too small for the sharks in there). The food was delicious, but I didn't really like the selection of dishes and it was also quite expensive. The drinks are really cool and the prices are also very fair.

Friendly & attentive staff on arrival & during the afternoon. DJ Glenn pumping funky tunes, while Brendan & Marc brought delicious cocktails & the Two Bites menu kept coming. We were seated by the aquarium tank & thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Went there twice in 3 days for their 2 bites menu. Super tasty food and huge fish tank wall.

Beautiful food and amazing service. Brendon gave us the best of service and even made arrangements so that we had longer to enjoy our platter. Great food and even better service.

Great lunch special, main meal, dessert and a drink to select for under $40.

The lovely staff organised a surprise congratulations dessert for us, the thought was lovely and made us smile.

Beautiful restaurant with good menu. Food quality and presentation were excellent. I would say one of the best in Cairns. Chilli calamari was very tender though the portion bit small. Crab tart was good. 5 stars for the blue mussels I love the wine creamy sauce so much! Wagyu beef also very delicious. Coffee was excellent. $300 for 4 people for lunch quite pricy but we were all very happy and full.

So many tables free and they gave me one that dances and far from are I wanted.if it wasnt for the rain I would have quit and leave. Food wasnt that special anyway for the price charged.

We had an amazing time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food perfect. Many people were celebrating birthdays with a parade of cakes being brought out, upon being asked if we were celebrating a birthday we said no anniversary. Shortly we were presented with a complimentary dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate.

Great restaurant with a huge aquarium as the back wall filled with lots of different tropical fish - large and small. It keeps the kids (and the not so little kids) occupied while waiting for your meal. The food is great.

Great restaurant. Very welcoming staff. Good service that we received. Awesome atmosphere to sit down and have food, with a great view of the ocean. Food was delicious however the quantity was less.

We had the best experience ever. Brenden was our host and was fantastic from the minute we got to the restaurant. The staff were stellar and the food even better. So fresh. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We got the best seats in the house right next the glass aquarium. It's concrete floor allows for noise to travel easily so don't hope for a quiet experience. The aquarium is beauitful and great to look at while enjoying a meal

Terrible… aquarium guide left us waiting in the bar then the restaurant had us down for a selected meal not seafood like I we were sold plus no appetisers no welcome drinks and the European manager didn’t want a bar of it until I pushed back. They embarrassed my family after paying 2 adults 1 child $435 for the tour and and augment. Brandon the floor manager made certain things changed and we were looked after however Tiqets never again.

I totally understand if no any reservations would be put to any seat, but the guy (I think is the manager) just put me and my partner nearby the entrance (he told us only here) and then I saw someone after us also no reservation but they were taken to other seat which was not too close to the entrance, I didn’t want to spend $130 to mess up my last day holiday in cairns but this was really uncomfortable for us, also I was quite confused why the staff didn’t put any forks or knives on our table (all the tables were been put except us) and when I asked the guy again, he started to explain lots of excuses which made me felt not very good either.
Anyways, the food was ok but the service still need to be improved

I absolutely love this place. We eat out a lot however this placed has topped it all. Perfect meals, amazing staff and the timing for it all was great! Special thanks to Sophie B (you rock)

A little bit on the expensive side. All sides are extra $, not included. My medium steak was overcooked and not a "true" eye fillet. Staff were great tho.

The atmosphere was lovely but everything else was mediocre at best. We ordered drinks and entrees but our server did not note our entrees. Mistakes happen but this repeated several times when our mains were forgotten and our server asked what we wanted for dessert before our mains were even ordered. I ordered a medium rare steak which arrived well done and poor quality. The food is overpriced. To pay the bill you need to line up and wait for other guests which is very inefficient. We were so excited about dining here but this was the worst place we ate at on our trip.

It was a special occasion as we're are on our very belated honeymoon, then end of our 1stweek away from the UK & wanted a special meal. Watching the fish in the aquarium was lovely and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere
Food arrived on a high serving rack, way too high in my opinion, getting the food off the rack was difficult, table was too small for so much food, we felt squished and the plates were also too small, I had to ask for another plate to put Lobster shells on, that should be there as standard meat was very under seasoned. Luckily one of the sauces was just the seasoning it needed, but it was trial and error to find the right one of the 4 provided.

We shared a dessert, Baileys trifle, which actually wasn't that nice at all, grainy texture.
The food could have been better.
I didn't feel that this pricy meal was value for money.
Although my husband who won't complain left a sizable tip staff were excellent though
