Drakes Gympie

I went into Drakes at 10am Christmas Eve and to be honest, was dreading the normal supermarket madness! Staff were friendly, store was clean and well stocked, and I left with way more than I anticipated in my trolley, but very, very happy! Thank you & Merry Christmas

Easy to get to. Lots of variety and some good specials. Double charged for some mushrooms on receipt but will get that refunded next time I go there. Same experience at other supermarkets occasionally. Have learnt to always get receipt and check it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Cheaper than other supermarkets. Aisles are nice and wide. Easy parking.

Excellent IGA store, clean, tidy and pleasant staff. Have no hesitation in recommending this grocery store to anyone.

Great range of allergen friendly food and it's reasonably priced. The staff are friendly too.

I am shopping there more often. They are improving daily, they have good quality, friendly staff, open a checkout when more than a couple of people waiting. Will shop there as often as possible.

Awesome place first time shopper at drakes, only in Gympie for a few days and we don’t have one in caboolture, bloody awesome bakery dept. % loved it.

Wow. First visit to this store. Beautifully laid out, spacious isles and a huge variety of products. We will be travelling from Cooloola Cove more often to shop here. Coles and Woolies could get some tips from visiting this store.

Well priced store & very friendly staff willing to help. Has a diverse selection of products & they bake in store & have butcher and deli with a large range of sliced products.

Fruit and veg can be more expensive than other supermarkets but they have great specials and I always enjoy shopping here

Absolutely amazing selection of products. Has to be the best place to shop in Gympie. Friendly young staff with great work ethic. I shop here as much as possible. TRY THE BEEF JERKY AND BILTONG. ITS THE BEST IN GYMPIE

Great food selection in the midst of latest Covid dilemma, most items were still available. Great meat, fruit n veg, some items dearer than competition but a lot of good cheaper specials on sale. It's a good all round place to shop with a lot less crowds. Recommend it.

So much more relaxing than the hustle of those others! Only one problem for me is I can't reach the top shelves because I'm a shortie! Love drakes.

Best pork sausages in town and the only place I can get NZ Kumara (purple sweet potato with white flesh)

Very clean and tidy independently owned supermarket. All the staff are very helpful and the service is great. Always have big weekly specials.

I feel less rushed and comfortable in this store. I don't like giving my business to the bigger grocery stores and now I won't be. Drakes have more variety than I expected and the prices are very reasonable, which means I will definately be returning. It's so good to go to a checkout and not have to wait so long.

Good place to shop as it is not busy and carries a lot of Australian grown, made and owned goods.

Shopping at Drakes Gympie was a whole new experience recently. Don't know if they've had an attitude change, if it was because I didn't shop at night or the weekend, or if it was because I avoided the young women, but my time in-store was very pleasant. The staff I had contact with were professional and had an interest in what they were doing. Annette had a chat. -Am almost in shock! Oh, and great fresh deli specials.
The only reason for 4*s instead of 5 is I want to see if the improved attitude was a one-off or if the pleasantry continues. I spent more than usual because a lighter vibe meant a lighter pocket.

I enjoyed going to Drakes, for something different. Prices where good; and service was great. I will go back.
