Downfall Creek Bushland Centre reviews
58Very interesting and educational. A huge thank you to rangers Fiona and Mike who showed us around and gave us such a lot of information. Highly recommended!
Great Park! Kid's always enjoy themselves on the slides/swings and are building their confidence on the obstacles
This is a nice place with a walking trail for kids and adults. Specially if you want to see bats, there is a plenty.
Absolutely loved here. Educational workshops from Roman was very engaging. There is also a quiet and easy walk track and an amazing play ground. Wish I live closer to here.
Take the time for the boardwalk and have your kids read the signs. They'll learn something and it's very low effort required to get in the outdoors.
A good little patch of bush amongst the suburbs. The walking tracks are paved and let you smash out a couple of kilometres in no time. Nice little hill to get the heart rate up before winding back down to the creek. Clean toilets at the visitor centre.
Paved easy Bushland walks suitable for kids, you almost forget you are in the middle of suburbia. Fresh woodland style playground at entrence to the walks, and a 200m sensory walk loop. A shame the environment education centre isn't open on weekends.
Such a lovely spot! Undercover table & seats, bbq, toilet amenities, Filtered water fountain and a fantastic nature themed playground. We enjoyed a packed picnic and then took the kids on the forest trails for exploration. A great place to spend a grounding afternoon.
We absolutely love all out time spent here, my little alwaysfinds so many interesting activities to do and see.
Great Christmas evening under the stars. Good bbq facilities, playground and shaded grassy area for picnics. Toilets and parking available along with filtered water!
We love coming here - great playground, lovely bush walk and friendly, knowledgeable staff
Beautiful Nature Centre, visited because of the Nature Journalling event held by the city council, and it was perfect for it, we all got inspired there. I learned about the paper bark tree here for instance.
Our first time visiting this amazing place today. It was a saturday and there were 2 birthday parties plus live music we arrived at 10.45am and it was very busy and no parking. We had to park a bit of a distance and walk which didnt bother us too much. There were toilets. The bushland centre was closed. Plenty of shaded area to sit even though it was busy it didnt feel like there was no space. The playground looks recently upgraded and its absoutly fantastic. The playground itself has something for all ages and abilities. Theres 3 different swings and a basketball court. No flying fox unfortunately.
The senses trail was short enough that our 3 year old made it the whole way without whinging and she doesnt normally like bushwalks. The track we went on was about 10 mins max and pram and wheel chair friendly.
Highly recommend visiting!
Enjoyed a really nice time here on a beautiful day. Toilets close by, and a playground for all ages mixed in, nicely cut grass and a clean area.
However, not enough parking, it was chocka block and right next to a VERY busy road, so I wasn't happy about having to park on the road as there was nowhere else. Overall though had a lovely time.
Nice place, very good for spending time with children and families.
After 7 moth we come back here. And it is change a lots. Now place looks even better. Playground awesome
Nice hidden park with walkways an information centre on the area and a good playground can even have a nice lunch here with the children, so come down and have a squizz you won't be disappointed.
Tables and chairs could use a repaint as there is graffiti all over them but don't let that bother you too much
Great place for walk, picnic and just taking in a great natural space. Plus new playground just opened.
My kids loved the new playground and little nature walk - a 200m easy track where even the littlest people can enjoy). Really well done, with toilets and BBQ facilities and a basketball hoop for the older kids.
Great place to visit. Bushland centre not open on weekends however lots of picnic tables & soon to be new playground.
Fantastic suburban bushwalk - lots of wildlife- bats, birds, butterflies, goanna & wallabies - creeks, formed paths or dirt tracks to follow.
We did an 8.5km hike but walks can be as short or as long as you prefer. Family & dog friendly
A great place to take my 2 year old for a couple of hours or more. Good play equipment, good short walks and there's even a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops!
