Dolphins Beach-House

Basic hostel, in walking distance to a beach and bus stops but it's a 30 min walk to Noosa Heads. If you want to stay in the hostel for a few hours after check out you have to pay 15 AUD. The rooms are basic, no lockers and not a lot of electric outlets.

Great find. We had a double room with our own bathroom for two nights. $350 Clean and comfortable in a lovely quiet part of the coast. The surrounding gardens make this place feel like a wonderful sanctuary. Very relaxing and quiet. Our bed was a double not a queen so tall people might want to check that when booking.

Manager is horrible to the guests. Makes the stay here very uncomfortable for everyone. She also dislikes non English speaking nationalities, so unless you’re from England or US your time here will probably be pretty bad.

The owner Emma is extremely rude to everyone until she picks and chooses who she wants to be nice to. She gives out cheaper weekly rates only to people she likes. She outspokenly said she doesn’t like French people. People were always on edge when she was around and nobody could fully relax when she was walking around.

The staff are friendly and the rooms and toilets are super clean! The hostel is beautifull with antique architecture and design.no lockers in rooms though.

This is very relaxing and clean hostel and Emma the manager is fantastic at her job. I’d recommend staying here if you are in town.

Neat idea but a bit poorly executed.

Hostel was divided into units, and each bed was part of a unit which had its own kitchenette and bathroom. This would be great in theory however all the units were left open all day, meaning travellers would help themselves to other bathrooms and kitchens. By the end of my 3 night stay our kitchen had barely any equipment left as those in nearby rooms had nicked it all. If the units were access controlled these units would be a great idea.

Otherwise, it was very clean and well-equipped. Beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were nice albeit possibly a bit small for the number of beds in there (I was in a 4-bed dorm and there was little to no floor space available).

Was a great location in December with access to the free Summer bus, however outside of this I'm not sure how it would be like as Sunshine beach is a fair distance from the heart of Noosa. I had a car too, and there was plenty of nearby on-street parking.

Had an amazing stay! Staff are great, location is great and room was great. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Really cute hostel, friendly staff and close to the beach. To get to noosa Heads a car or the bus is needed. Rooms for what they are are quite pricey (160$/night in a double w shared facilities), but compared to other places in noosa and in the main season, was to be expected.

Great place to meet people; however, I got bed bugs here. After staying for a week, I went to a doctor because I had an allergic reaction to the bites.

After showing staff not only once, but three times that I have bites and a doctor who diagnosed my bites, there was no sympathy or offer to alleviate my experience.

Really unprofessional and unfriendly which is a shame because I enjoyed the atmosphere

Generally a good stay here in a private room with my partner. At first we were a little annoyed as we arrived at 11am to see that no one is at reception between 10;30 and 2 so we didn’t know what to do with our bags (perhaps online make it clearer that no one will be around at certain times of the day as it says reception is manned 8am-7pm).

Other than that had a very good stay! Room was very clean for a hostel, as was the kitchen and shared bathroom! The staff were very kind also.

It’s located only a few mins from sunshine beach and close to bus stops, cafes and a little local shop.

Price was a little bit steep for a hostel at 120 dollar for one night; however if I was in the area again I’d stay again:)

The hostel was very clean and welcoming! It’s split up into different units- all which have their own bathroom and kitchen so that you never have to wait to have a shower or cook. The other backpackers were all really friendly and I made so many great friends from here.
It’s not a party hostel so I was even able to get a good nights sleep!

The place is amazing! Two blocks from sunshine beach, free boards to surf and yoga mats. It is very chill, with different units so you can have a little privacy but also a common area to meet people and share a nice time together.
It is also very clean since everyday they clean it. The staff members are super friendly and attentive, specially CJ!

The room was quite dusty, quite a bit of dirt and debris on the carpet, bed side table, shelf in the bathroom. The louvres were quite mouldy. The bed was comfortable and the staff and other guests were friendly and helpful.

Very nice hostel, nice and helpful staff.each room / apartment (consisting of 10 people) has its own kitchen and bathroom, unlike most hostels where you have a shared kitchen and bathroom for everyone.in the evening I met very nice people, very quiet place, if you are looking for relaxation and meet nice people it is the right place.

Needed a place to stay the room was clean towels fresh also linen on the bed nothing else in room but air conditioning worked great.shared toilet and bathroom couldnt fault it very clean also kitchen its cleaned through out the day nothing fancy but its clean.although we were the oldest there the young people were well behaved no loud music or noise. I really liked my stay. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the aircon was a treat and the bathroom and kitchen was super clean. We have been to three different places and this was our favourite. Fo recommended for the young, laid back adventurer.

Nice hostel, clean and tidy. Management a nightmare, lecture us as kids. I have to leave cause one of the managers “thought” I was smoking weed. Sad
