Fantastic bouldering gym with super friendly staff. Great routes for all levels of experience. The trampolines are great to bring the kids along to while you get some time on the wall. First class facilities, would definitely recommend!

Great little place for kids. I just can't justify the money that was spent at this place. Jump mania used to be on the same venue and charged $18-$20 a ticket for 2 hours. Defy Gravity charges $30 a child for a 2 hour session. This place is very expensive. We took 8 kids today and 2 adults with the total being $300 in total. You cannot book online to save and no family deals it seems.

I had my sons birthday party here today, and all kids had an absolute blast, it was easy to organise and VERY good value for money imo. The private party rooms are fantastic, staff are so friendly and accommodating, cannot recommend this place highly enough for a party that any kid will remember fondly forever. Thank you awesome team at DG, we will be back!

Wow! Such fun with the family! Very family friendly for all ages, our youngest is 2, and we were able to bring her and she loved finding her own space while us big kids enjoyed the variety of fun! And was well looked after by Paul the manager, massive thumbs up!

Had my son's 5th birthday here over the weekend and all the kids had a blast. The staff were informative, friendly and engaging and did everything to make sure we were looked after and the kids had fun. We paid the extra for an instructor to entertain the kids and it was well worth it - big shout out to Sam who was super patient and did an amazing job keeping a large group of 5 year olds engaged in the activities. We will be back!

Wanting the have one on one fun with my son I thought this was the perfect opportunity. When we arrived staff were super friendly. Even upsold us rock climbing after spending $40 entry so total cost for the two of us was $52. I did think that was expensive but I didn't want to upset my little man so swiped the card. 45 mins later there was a call to announce everyone off the floor as new session. I approached the staff and said I was not expecting this especially after spending $52. I was told that's the rules. What rules? Then I was told that I could have 15 mins after new group induction. Still confused why we are locked out after 45 mins and $52 later I was still confused why we had to leave. Then the guy who sold me the tickets tried to say he explained the 1 hour procedure. I said no way you did as I would have come for the next session and not only for 45 mins. I was offered a free entry if I came back the same day.
Stay clear of this place unless you are happy with 1 hour time frames at the cost of minimum $52 for 1 adult and 1 child.
Also the ninja equipment is suitable for teenagers or adults. Save your money and go to inflatable kingdom. More fun more time and more value.

Pretty good facility for climbing. There were some rocks that were loose on the wall which was concerning. Also it's not very safe because if you go on a weekend little kids are just running all over the place, into the "fall zones" (and their parents). Waiting for disaster. Very different from what I've seen in Brisbane.

I was visiting Cairns for the weekend and was glad to see there’s finally a bouldering gym in Cairns! I took my brother with me who’s never climbed before. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. There were some good boulders, but overall the experience was quite average, and not very beginner friendly. The hall is dark, so it’s hard to distinguish holds. Most routes lack grades, with unclear start and finish holds, and not many climbs suitable for a total beginner (my brother and I still had a good time, but without me to coach him through stuff he would have been lost). Also a lack of hold variety, and pretty ladder-ey route setting. Staff were friendly, and the guy at the counter gave us a free hour of climbing since it was quiet, but I’m a bit sore that $23 entry only gets you one hour of climbing. For Every other gym I’ve been to, entry let’s you access the gym for the whole day, often with a free week or two as well for first timers. I’m a bit spoiled by other, bigger gyms in this respect.

Overall the experience was below average. I can see that they’re still new, with a larger focus on the trampolines/ninja course, but there is a LOT of room for improvement before I’d consider coming back.

Cannot praise this place enough! There is something to do for all ages and suited to all levels of experience. All staff are amazing, making you feel welcome and easily approachable for any questions.
The upstairs couches and beanbags are super comfy for those wanting to kick back while the little ones bounce or if you just need a break.
Rain, hail or shine, Defy Gravity is a place you can attend again and again and try something different every time!

If ur a climber dont go here. Dangerously settet routes with no flow. Moonboard is firstly on 20 degrees and theres is a steel thing u very potetianlly can land on. Bad setted routes. Two hangboards wich u can not use propally because their not to close to the wall. Fun for the kids, but if ur a climber, the gym is useless…

Was great for the kids however might have been nice to be able to have a coffee. Very noisy as you would expect. No information able to be found on website and unable to phone them. Kids loved the actual equipment.

My 4 year old had a great time using the trampoline park - looks like it would be a great venue for birthdays or bucks parties too. Plenty of options!
