Debbie's Seafood

Seafood is always good whether fresh or frozen. The seafood store and display cabinets and fridge/freezers are kept clean and well stocked. Prices can be a bit expensive but pretty much the same everywhere. Also depends on what is in season. The staff are friendly and helpful and are a mine of information on the produce and how to cook it.
The Cafe has a good variety of meals on their menu. Prices are fairly normal for fish and chips shop. They make good coffee and crab and prawn sandwiches. The other food is always fresh and tasty. Their cakes and cheesecakes are delicious. Cafe staff are friendly and very efficient with service. You can sit in or take away. Definitely recommend

Love the seafood served here. What I don't like is the mozzies that hang around. They love me.

Wow not been for a while was shocked by the prices for fresh and frozen seafood. Will need to rethink next time. Ended up at the Fish Market in Mackay. Not happy there either about the egged & female crustaceans.

Out of the three rated fish and chip shops in Mackay, this place was superservice, parking, food quality and table service with a China dinner plate, and cutlery very rare in these days of dining. The staff were polite and well mannered with also a superior clean dining area. We will return for another scrumptious meal.

Walked in and was welcomed with fantastic customer service. Fantastic prices and the best calamari rings I've ever had in my life.

Our food was late to arrive, and the manager handled it incredibly well. Apologetic, professional, and generous. The food itself was great, and the seating area was comfortable with three young kids - ample room for prams, big fans, and highchairs. We'll be back

Great food Great service Great dining, friendly staff, and a must stop drop everytime im out in Sladey. My breakfast on Mothers day was absolutely delicious.

The lady taking the orders was so polite and nice and very friendly. I got the fish burger I was so surprised it was a whole piece of fish in the burger. The batter on the fish was so crispy and light and the fish was so good. Will definitely be back

Every time we go to the café we are provide with great service, food & fish. The platters that they have put together for events we have attended there are always amazing and fresh – we highly recommend Debbie’s Seafood!

Fish and chips were very good but there was not a lot of fish choices and they dropped one of my calamari and by the time they replaced it we had finished the own meal

Just amazing seafood, a must go if you are in the area. Lot's of locals popping by for lunch or takeaway. The freshest fish and seafood you can get. Also a fish market on site.

Recommended by a local to visit this place and it sure didn't disappoint! Seafood was fresh and the portion was huge! The girls were super helpful, and the food arrived within ten minutes. I'm one happy tourist today!

*** BEWARE YOU'LL GET WRONG CHEAPER FISH *****. I never tasted Coral Trout so I ordered one with the asian lady at the counter, then meanwhile i went over to check out the fresh seafood next door. I then saw her come over and grab a piece of raw fish for my order, she grabbed the cheaper fish beside the coral trout (not coral trout as ordered). I noticed the cheaper fish was cut in vertical pieces like a V shape, I noted the Coral Trout was long horizontal cut strips. When she gave my order to me it was the "Cheaper Fish", WOW how bloody sly. SHE RIPPED ME OFF!

This place is constantly busy, the locals love this place. And when locals love an establishment, the food is great.

Suitably impressed with the quality, quantity and response time of the meal.
Will definitely be back.

Such a shame we have seen adds about this place. Everything over cooked I have had steak more tender that the fish we had. $60 wasted never to return.
