Dan Murphy's Woolloongabba reviews
39Rude, unpleasant staff even coming off as hostile, I understand that security needs to be tight due to the location but being polite when asking for ID won't kill you.
I always go there if I need some booze because the prices are the best, they have a huge range and the staff are considerably friendlier and better than most other outlets in my area
Selection is top notch and prices are likely the best around. Biggest downside was their security. Got carded by some bloke at the door then carded once more at the register. What's the point of the first man if I'm reaching for my ID again? It's embarrassing. Sort it out.
Went in to buy gin. Was none on the shelf. When we spent 10 minutes looking for someone who could provide customer service the guys was response was.oh. I think we sold out a few days ago not sure. Sorry
Ummm maybe check, sorta your job mate.
Fairly full range of products, given that the store itself is on the smaller side. Always quick service. Parking can be a bit of a hassle
On checking out checked the price of bottles I had bought, had been charged more then the quoted price. Had to redo the bill. What if I had not checked wud have ended up paying 70$ extra for my bill.
Great range, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The carpark is tricky to enter and exit and is very crammed but that is the only draw back.
Huge liquor store, with any kind of alcoholic drink you'll imagine, in week days they close really early, and some prices are a bit high.
I find the staff really nice. Always welcoming you as you walk in.
With a very wide variety of wine, beer, liqueurs and spirits. It’s good place to shop.
There’s often bargains too, with the Clean Skins.
I’ve found most Dan Murphy’s that I’ve experienced, a great place to shop indeed.
Dan Murphy's has the best range of all kinds of alcohol in Queensland. But still part of the Coles Woolworths monopoly in Queensland
Extremely rude staff who could stand to take a lesson or two in basic courtesy and respect. I was accosted immediately by a middle aged female staff member as I walked in carrying a small clutch handbag that barely fits my key card, keys and glasses, let alone anything else (isn't it customary to snoop into people's private possessions *after* they have been into the store, rather than *before*? !). I was similarly accosted on leaving. No-one else seemed to have their bag checked when mine was checked. I am happy to pay more to be treated with respect as a paying customer, so I definitely won't be back, particularly given your prices aren't even that competitive anymore. What a powerful canvassing tool rudeness is! Goodbye, Dan Murphy's-hello BWS!
Well ranged and stocked, store is always neat and tidy. Staff are wonderful always and are well versed on their products, there is always somebody available to help!
Probably one of the better Dan Murphy's in Brisbane, it has to be, as there are many good boutique bottle shops around. Staff are very helpful, and they always pass you onto someone more knowledgeable if you're looking for something distinct. Parking is the only issue on big days (days before public holidays).
Wine wine and more wine. Such a great selection to select from. Staff are friendly and I also had a gentleman assist me when I had a big order by helping me get it all into my car.
I was amazed i purchased a ctn of my favourite beer and it was $9.00 cheaper than other bottle shops great value admitted it was on special but great staff and good prices. You've got me.
Real nice classy Murphy's. Plus yous in the inner inter urban city web so you feel like you're out doing something important and not just necking a slab at home on the couch in your undies.
Excellent bottle shop. Massive range, good deals, and very helpful staff who are willing to track down particular drinks for you if you can't find them on the shelf. Definitely worth signing up for a Dan Murphy's card as well as it gives you access to some pretty worthwhile specials.
Convenient liquor store offering a wide range of alcoholic beverages at affordable prices. They have a great and wide selection in beer and wines. Their options is more limited in the rums section. The overall organization of the store could be improved.
The place is full of piss, I mean for a bloke with 17 children of his own and absolutely adores every one of the little critters and loves his bloody grog all the same, I'm telling you now ladies and gents I now love this Dan Murphys place more than me first born. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling I'm serious there's alcohol everywhere, as far as my lazy eye could see.
10/10 Mr Murphy.
