Dan Murphy's Holland Park

I originally went to the Woollongabba store to exchange 6 (empty) wine boxes I had spare from recent purchases for a couple of larger boxes. They only had 1, so they suggested I try another store. The Holland Park store don’t answer their phone, so I drove there anyway. When I finally found someone, I politely asked the guy if they had any spare large wine boxes. The assistant abruptly said to me “why - what do you need it for? ”. I said “Urm, to put wine in as it’s easier for me to carry 1 large box than 2” and explained I had taken 6 smaller wine boxes back to Woollongabba to exchange for 2 larger boxes. With a huff he walked off into a back room and came back 10 seconds later, abruptly telling me “I can’t possibly just give 1 to you, it’s not right, especially at Christmas”. Urm, what? I said “Even though I’ve just taken back 6 boxes? ”. Apparently not. I walked out the store and past the 6ft tall stack of flat-packed boxes that had been dismantled. If you’re going to stack shelves, please learn some customer service skills instead of being rude and arrogant. Don’t bother with this store - absolutely hopeless.

The young (ish) white guy with long greasy hair chased me out of the store on all fours.terrifying experience.will 100% never come back.

I haven't visited there for a long time, however despite the last minute rush of pre Christmas items staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely still a 5 star experience!

Everything I go to a BWS or a local bottle-o looking for an obscure drink they always say. Have you check Dan Murphy's? From now on, that's where I start.

Just got verbally abused for walking in at the correct time by a lady named Sarah with blonde hair. She screamed at myself and my partner saying “you have 30 seconds otherwise you won’t be served”. As someone who works in hospitality and actually has to clean up for 2 hours after close I would never speak to a customer in such a disrespectful way and believe that Sarah requires a serious talking to.

Best Dan Murphy's and bottle shop in Brisbane hands down. Staff are polite and extremely helpful, plenty of range and variety, lots of space in the store and car park, perfect.

Went to Dan Murphy's Holland Park today and what a difference a week makes! Ordered some speciality beers on line and Dan's at Holland park were short 2 bottles of beers so they substitute a very similar beer with 3 bottles of beer. Very happy indeed. Thanks Juan

So much to see take food and water. Couldn't see prices for some cartons of beer. Perhaps I was drunk on choice?

I arrived at Dan Murphy's awhile ago, had a security stop me and ask for ID, however since I didn't have my mum proceeded to see is she can go through, as she had hers however he was reluctant to let her in even though, she wanted to show hers. I have never had an an issue like this before. I do believe the guy was racially profiling against us. Bad experience!

Dan's need to sharpen their pricing. Went in this afternoon and checked prices, walked out and went to First Choice and saved $13 a carton.

This is not our local Dan's but we were in the area and they had in stock a bottle of spirits we could not get locally.

Convenience in delivery. Under the current circumstances & even if pushed for time. The delivery service in under 2 hours was a brilliant service. Especially around Christmas. Or even now with the pandemic or just isolated. How practical to have your grog delivered to your door. Priceless. With plenty of range - even better

Great range, price promise, but have to check yourself on most things. Plenty 9f service assistance where required.

As all Dan Murphy's huge variety. Able to get my fave carton beer which other major liquor stores do not stock. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Over and above. Thanks to Hannah and the rest of the team at Dan Murphy's Holland Park. Ordered a bottle of gin online for pick up. Hannah rang and said they were unfortunately out of stock but were likely getting some in in a few days. Mentioned I really needed it as it was a gift, and one of the managers took it upon themselves to pick up a bottle from another store to ensure they could complete my order. That's unexpected service and unexpected delight. Thank you.

If I could give this place a zero I would! I have never come across such rude, unhelpful, uncaring staff, especially that Irish guy at the door screaming at me from 10 metres away, This type of rudeness has occurred on numerous occasions “I won’t be back! ” I think Dan Murphy should update the availability of particular brands of wine on the internet instead of wasting the consumers precious time!

Excellent array of wines and beers. Staff are spot on, friendly and keen to assist. Easy to find and plentiful parking. Highly recommend

Since I hardly ever drink I get bamboozled with all the new drinks n wonder what they taste like. It was busy being Saturday evening

Got in quick, found what I was looking for and got out. Plenty of staff on the registers and the store was well laid out.
